Paris Hilton represents the new generation's idea of the all american girl... She's american, she's blonde & skinny, she's a troubled girl with a pretty mother and a filthy rich dad, she's in hollywood, she's got friends just like her but she's the leader of them all and she's had sex with celebrities with video proof, she basically does nothing of substance for a living and parties like it was air to breath, not to mention the fact that she will most likely end up married to a billionaire or a movie star.
But I'll tell you, the rest of the world is not as obsessed with that girl as young america tends to be, she's like royalty to them and personally I think its sad...

Rumor of the day: A major TV network is developing a remake of the 50s western "Gunsmoke" starring LA Sheriff Lee Baca as Matt Dillon and Paris Hilton as Miss Kitty.

Paris Hilton is news because people are watching it on television, listening to it on the radio and reading it in magazines. The paparazzi are really good about informing people on the happenings of celebrities. Magazines like to dramatize daily activities of celebrities by making it more then what actually has happened. We live in a world where some people just don't have the luxury of having Rich things happen in their lives or that their lives are as exciting. Sometimes people like to step into someone else's shoes and imagine that they are the one with all of the attention. Unfortunately this is continuously happening to Paris Hilton but you have to understand that she has brought this upon herself. Being a celebrity and a daughter of a famous and rich father doesn't help any. Living a life of glamour and money may seem wonderful but it is also hard for her to cope and to live with that reality. The only thing we can hope is for her safety and that she will learn from her mistakes. Like everyone in life she to is human and has feelings. We can only hope that her need for attention by breaking the law and acting inappropriately will change.

I think it's nothing more than a calculated distraction . This isn't the first time the mainstream media teams up with the "elite" showbiz bunch .
Hollywood gave us "The Truman Show"..and we've been getting a lot of Hollywood influence lately on political issues .
The more I heard Paris Hilton blather..the more I was reminded of the film " The Truman Show" . I didn't need to hear minute by minute reports of the lifestyle of a lawbreaker who chose to drive drunk - and could have easily killed or maimed any one of us .There was no escaping it ..And if we tried to - well , maybe - just maybe our elite senators would have shoved it to the American public once again..while we were all conveniently distracted with Paris Hilton "updates"..
OH ,THE HUMANITY ..

Cause she is rich and dumb.

Rich people are normally asscociated with the process in which they become rich eg high IQ, sheer willpower and hardword+ determination.

Paris Hilton was born with about 10 credit cards stuffed in her v@gina and currently lives off her father's hotels which she is going to inherit with no knowledge on how to run it. She has the intelligence of an 8-year old if u have lived under a rock for a while..

She looks dumb, says dumb things, act dumbly and fcks like a dumb elephant. If u give a billion dollars to the female chimpanzee at your local zoo, you got Paris Hilton the second

This "paris phenomenon" reminds me of the movie "Network". When "Network" was released, the idea that network news could become for-profit programming, with news content determined by its potential to generate revenue, was merely a "shades of 1984" Orwellian "what if" scenario. Another "futuristic" concept presented in that movie was that the media airwaves could be wrestled out of the hands of the public domain and into the control of a powerful, omnipotent few. Today, those "theoretical" concepts are now the reality of our mainstream mass media. In my opinion, the "paris phenom" is a sick sample of a conglomerate-controlled mass media that uses sensationalism to sell us all out for the mighty dollar.

Paris Hilton is considered "news" because she has become a public figure. I say "news" because "news" has become a form of shameless entertainment. "News" has become a large part of all forms of media and information. She, in my opinion, should not be considered news for her stint with the judicial system because many people face the justice system everyday and her punishment and news coverage should not be affected only because of her social status. In my opinion the only positive effect, and I doubt it will have any lasting impression, are the conditions of the prison system and flaws of the judicial system. But as they say "you get the justice you are able to pay for"

Your guess is as good as mine.I never thought I would see the day when Paris Hilton is more important than news coverage of the war,or world hunger.

Paris Hilton and other news items that are totally moronic are news because it keeps the masses from thinking about important things like..the war in Irac, illegal workers taking our jobs, elected officials who lie to us and never intend to follow thru on their promises....if you are all tied up thinking about some person who has nothing more going for her than she happened to be born into a family that can afford to raise her with no feelings of responsibility then you will not interfere with important things going on around you.

I think Paris Hilton has got serious issues with herself. You cant live your life like that ,its as if she is living her life for herself.Whats up with that,i just think she is surching for answers to her questions. People like paris should put their faith in god and stop thinking money can get you everything. No offence. One day when we all die we will all have to explain to god why we lived our lifes the way we did,and for paris "sweety" ur probably a nice person! But mommy and daddy nor money can make god change his mind to his decition how we must pay for our sins. Ive never heard anybody talk about what god has done for them when your rich and famous..do you even know him! God bless Paris...
