I think maybe the point is that there is a lot of love in the music (or should be) so it makes them love songs. But this is my opinion and not based on fact.

Lol well most people say that after they break up or something then they notice how much love songs there are. But thats the same like if your happy and then you notice all the sad and depressing songs out there. It really depends on the artist or the type of music but i think there just as much sad songs as there are love songs. I think people just notice things depending on their mood.

If you think about the majority of songs (especially popular ones), they are mostly about love or old love or broken hearts. I've often thought about this question and I think it is true that most songs are love songs or written for someone the artist loves. Honestly the reason I think that is simply because that's what I see most often.

it depends on a persons interpretation of that song, it could be a song about love to them, while other people hear it differently.like a very good movie if the song takes me to a certain place, a relaxing place I love that song..

To songwriters and musicians, the music and the song are thier mistress, thier passion, thier "lover" so to speak.
They are in love with thier gift and every time they use thier gift they are, in a sense, "making love".
They are giving birth to a new creation. There is no greater love than that! So, in a sense, all songs are "love songs"

Probably because they're stupid and don't know what they're talking about. I prefer hate songs myself.
