I was remembering movies that made me cry for some strange reason. Of course, as a kid Old Yeller was my first.
Second, was Brian's Song (1971). I was like 11 or 12 yo when I saw it. The first time I was choked up, but ok. I saw it about 3 months later and oh my god!! I could not stop crying for some reason maybe 3 minutes of non-stop sobbing! No matter what I did, the tears kept flowing. Wow was that embarrassing.
The only other film that got me was My Life with Michael Keaton. My father was a little ill at the time with lots of doctors appts so I could relate to this film, but man, at the end I looked around the theater and saw everyone else crying and then crap I started crying!
As a guy, we just don't cry, but I have to admit, these movies got to me somehow.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

My daughter (turning 21 next month) first cried at Dumbo when she was about 3 or so. She was watching it all by herself, and when I went in to the den, she was just bawling. When I asked her why, it was because Dumbo was being taken away from his Momma. It was the first time she really cried because she was truly sad.
She called yesterday, crying again... this time because she'd made a really low score on a physics test -- for the third time, and it was past the Q drop date for the summer term and was "costing us money!"
She's turned into a loving, sensitive, caring, and conscientious adult, but it's good to know she still needs her Momma sometimes...
Great question!

Being a woman, my crying is quite common at sad movies but here is my little list...Top 5...ok 6
1. Imitation of Life (All three versions)
2. An Affair to Remember
3. Shane
4. Terminator 2: Judgement Day-I loved Arnold!
5. Where the Red Fern Grows (Another dog movie)
6. Silverado (When they killed Danny Glover's dad!)
PS: I think it's cool when men tear up and try to hide it at movies!

Well, I cried so bad after I watched this anime, Fruits Basket, but I guess it doesn't count. I'm Not Stupid 1 and 2 made me cry, you know, those Singapore movies. and I kinda cried after I watched the Matrix trilogy, stuff about how much Trinity and Neo loved each other...

I can't even begin to name all the movies that have made me cry. I agree with yours and probably 100's (probably 1000's)more. Hell, I watched "The Guardian" (Kevin Costner/Ashton Kutcher) the other night and bawled like a baby (of course my hubby laughed at me).
It's nice to hear your a sensitive guy...there should be more like you out there!

The Cure, one of Brad Renfro's first movies, is the saddest movie I've ever seen. I cried just thinking about it for about a week after I first saw it
