It sell for .02 to.25 depending on grade. It is not a rare or scarce date. It had a mintage of 156,682,000. It does have some history behind it. The year 1938 was bad for a lot of people in Europe and World War II was just about to start. People in Asia were also having trouble with the Japanese. here in the states the depression as still on. Keep the coin for it only has one place to go in price and that is up.

It is equal to one american cent because I have one from 1912 and it is equal to one american cent.
