do they realize the damage they cause to other people when they smoke in public? and after that they complain that governments have laws against public smoking....i dont understand

They complain it's against their rights to ban smoking in public places! What about non-smokers rights?
It's about time we are able to go to a pub, club or restaurant without coming out stinking of stale fags!

I agree with everyone who says the non smokers complain more,and that I don't understand...Do they realize all the taxes the smokers pay go for their childrens educations,road taxes etc..?
It is about taxes my friend when you are the majority paying them..I'd like to see a smoking establishment ban non-smokers so they know how it feels to be banned and have their rights diminished as well...What I do in my home and vehicle is my own business,no one elses..smoker or not...respect works both ways as well.

I'm with teashy too.
You complain so much, there had to be laws.
It wasn't enough that you had a choice to remove your self from smoking areas. You made the choice for others to be banned from here and there and everywhere.
We go outside now. And we don't complain about it.
I hope I get cancer and you have to pay for it with your tax money. :)
EDIT: When they banned smoking in my city, All the restaurants and bars went out of business along the main strip. Traffic was bumper to bumper till 4am every week-end. All those places are being torn down next week. Sure, some ppl won't have to "smell like a fag" but hey, at least now they can stay home and save their money instead of boosting the local economy.

I'm a non-smoker and I hate cig smoke, but I have some good friends who smoke and I've never complained about what they do, because I don't care. I have the choice to distance myself, if I want. If I get lung cancer from 2ndhand smoke by hanging with them, that's my fate. All that matters is that you can go f*ck yourself.

I'm tired of non-smokers complaining about smoking in bars when they get trashed and get in their cars and drive. That's far more dangerous than smoking on the sidewalk or at the park. In buildings, fine. Not outside, that's bull.

If the goverment dont want us to smoke then why dont the ban the sale of ciggarettes? I will tell you shall i B/cos theymake millions from us thats why so what you moaning about everywhere is smoke free we are the ones being discriminated against so till the day the likes of you have to pay for my ciggies,shut yer yap,if I want to smoke I will, do we complain about non smokers BO or crappy smellin perfumes NO so clamp it...

No, I'm NOT tired of the smokers complaining. I AM TIRED of the NON-smokers complaining. Do THEY or our COMMUNISTIC excuse of a governent understand how much in TAX money they are going to lose? perhaps you need to try on their shoes for a while. its kinda like drinking it effects everybody as well and especally in public so why isnt there a law about that, cause the ones making the laws would be the biggest violator and with smoking the law makers dont smoke so its easy for them to make a law for that.
