I do every day. The first thing I do when I get in is put my trainers in the corner. What's the point of wearing funky socks if no-one's going to see them? :o)

I have never worn shoes at my current job of nine years, including at the job interview. I work at a history theme park now where we wear period dress, but I was also barefoot at the job before that (internet helpdesk) and a few temp jobs in winter (my current job is early spring until late fall mostly), and the job interviews for these. Only time I wore shoes was for an Open House at the internet helpdesk office, that was when I was very new to barefooting and we had loads of customers in that day & were all told to dress up. I think if the same thing was held now I'd wear a very long hippie skirt or something that fit with the bare feet well and wear that, because really no customer in any of these jobs has ever given me a hard time for being barefoot.

The Netherlands doesn't have the anti-barefoot bias you find in the US; while it's rare for people to go barefoot, very few people believe it's gross or dangerous or unhealthy.

I don't think so. I think the right question would be would I want to kick off my shoes at work and the answer would be no because it's a little on the gross side

I never bothered putting shoes on my daughter when she was little, before walking. I remember the first pair of shoes, my mum bought her them and they were a size 4. She is now 11 years old and wears a ladies 8!! Maybe her feet grew so much because they were never in shoes!!!!

Yes...I have a desk and I do it almost every day. In fact the office manager's office is right next to mine and we joke about how we are taking off our shoes (and sometimes other things because it is sooo hot!)

Although we dont really take off the other things!

Yes, because I'm behind my desk and people don't get to see my feet. I don't go barefoot a lot anyway. Just if my feet get to hot and I just have to remove my shoes.

Yes, I'm a teacher-- so we get alot more leeway, but we put up with an awful lot too.
Its a trade off I willingly make.
