hi!
1.the sequence formed an alternate sign geometric series with a common ratio equal to 2.. next would be -64 followed by 128 then the 8th term is equal to -256.. got it?

2. The Exterior Angle is the angle between any side of a shape, and a line extended from the next side. ok?

Question 1)

Sequence: 2, -4, 8, -16, 32, -64, 128, -256

(ANS) -256 is the 8th term.

Question 2)

It is known that the sum of all exterior angles of an any-sided polygon equals to 360 degrees.

(ANS) So, the exterior angle of a n-sided polygon is equal to 360 degrees divided by n (i.e. 360/n).

question 1 is a Geometrical progression with common ratio -2. Means each term is -2 times the term before it.

Using the formula for the nth term,

l = a*r^(n-1) where l is the term we want to find.

In our series, l=8. So,

l= 2*(-2)^(8-1)
=2* -2^7
=2* -128
= -258.

answer2: the sum of the two interior opposite angles.

1) This is a geometric sequence with first element a_1 = 2 and quotient q = -2. azccording to the formula for the n-th element in a geo. seq., we'll get:
a_8 = a_1 * q^7 = 2*(-2)^7 = 2*(-128) = -256

2) If you meant exterior angle of a triangle, then it is: "the exterior angle of a triangle equals the sum of the triangle's angles that are not adjacent to it"

♠ geometric progression with d=2 and alternating sign: thus
2, -4, 8, -16, 32, -64, 128, -256, ,,,,; that is x[j+1] =-2*x[j]
♣ in triangle: = sum of 2 other angles; or = 180°- alpha;
