I'm not married. I don't have a little piece of paper saying that I'm married. However, I do have a committed relationship of 4 years. I took "vows" when I decided to live my life with him and have our daughter. Marriage shouldn't be about having a ceremony or getting a piece of paper. It should be about realizing that you want to be with that person and you're going to do everything in your power to make it work. It makes me mad when people say that children who don't have "married" parents are worse off. Well, I'm sorry, but my parents were married when they had me. I can personally tell you that it wasn't any easier to see them split when they had their "marriage papers" then it would have been if they hadn't been married. Alot of married couples don't believe in "Til' death do us part". I think if divorce was against the law alot more people would believe in getting married because then it would really be a long term commitment. Until then I'm perfectly content with where I'm at.

Obvious fact: If people wouldn't have affairs there would be less divorces.
Keep your pants up and work on the romance in your own marriage.
My husband of (8 1/2 years) and I have a great marriage!! And if he did cheat we would have to work though it.

Marriage is broken.
If two people want to be together they don't need a ceremony or a piece of paper to prove it to the world, let alone inviting the state into their lives.

Yes and no... Marriage is a great thing but it's soooo sad that the world made it very easy to give up. Divorce is the easiest and fastest thing to do if ANYthing goes wrong.. It's called COMMUNICATE with the person married r not. NO talk no GAIN!!!!! NO GOOD MARRAGE/RELASTIONSHIP... so talking is the KEY!!!!!

No, because you are supposed to take it seriously. There are vows involved.. Besides, your kids would feel a lot better if they knew that their parents loved each other enough to get married!!!
If that were the case, why even have a relationship. Why don't we all just scr#w everybody, and have millions of kids that don't know who their parents are!!!!! lol
Too many children's lives are already disfunctional. Try to contribute to the moral character of society, rather than throwing away those values that keep families stable. We would have nothing but as bunch of juvenile delinquents in this world. How would that pan out when they all grew up????
