3,500 soldiers is a LOT, but back in the '40s, during what older folk like to call World War Two, we would lose 10,000 in a WEEK or maybe just a couple-of-days. So, quityourcomplaining, man.

What REALLY irks the people in the media is that GWB is getting his chance to build democracies, and WJC never had the chance. Well, really he DID have a chance, but his people told him that the destruction of a couple of U.S. embassies in Africa and the attack on the USS Cole weren't important enough to "justify" attacking a "sovereign" nation like Iraq and installing a democratically elected government.

Some will argue that the elections in Iraq were "fair," but when there is only ONE name on the ballot, can you REALLY call the elections fair? Where are all you supporters for "choice?"

Funny how it works sometimes. The dims need to learn to roll with-the-punches and quit screaming every time something doesn't work the way they expected it to work, e.g. WJC more concerned with getting his nob polished by an intern than the welfare of the free world. Roll with-the-punches, boys. You elected him. Maybe you should have talked more with his wife BEFORE you nominated him. *laughter*

The funny thing is that OIL is still high! You would guess that since we are "stealing" the oil from the Iraqis, that there would be BOATLOADS of it available, and the price would drop through the floor, but it hasn't. Why is that? Oh, right. Bushy is an OIL guy, and he has to keep his oil friends happy. Gotcha! *wink* THAT is a barrel of cr*p

Where is this oil to which your question implies that we have access? If we DID have access, the price would be a LOT less than it is now. Let me think. Are there any THREATS to the oil supply that would be inflating the price? Hmmmm...Saudis? No. Iranians? Wait a minute! The Iranians are becoming a threat to the supply of oil! It is THEY who are affecting the price. They are looking to develop nuke weapons too.

We will win THIS fight too, if the Dims get out of GWB's way and let him finish the job of building nacent democracies in the Islamic neighborhood over there. These democracies will be HUGE billboards for the Iranians to read EVERY day as they look east to Afghanistan and west to Iraq and see their neighbors living and thriving under democratic rule. The Iranian people will want this for their families and themselves, and a LOT are going to die to bring it home.

This number will depend on how much of the Iranian military remains loyal to the leadership. So, that's still up in the air.

I certainly think that the cost of one soldier is too high. It would be cheaper to buy the stuff. Think about it - how much has the war cost? Compared to the cost of the oil.
I think this just a fallacy - that the war was about oil. It wasn't.

I was just wondering about what opportunity could the war produce? the only thing at this time would be the question. Is it a tax haven?

Why you forget to include number of Iraqi innocent civilian died and two million Iraqi people uprooted from their home. The war is not for oil only. In modern wars nobody is winner.

no, it definitely isnt. The only reason that were in war is because Bush is a freaking selfish prick. He should have never even becum president. The government eliminated over 5000 african american votes against bush just because they had names similar to criminals.

What oil?
Oh, you mean the oil that was SUPPOSED to fund this war?
We haven't gotten a drop of it.

Therefore, 3500 soldiers died for NOTHING!!
