All of the above, i am from Romania, been around gypsies all my life, but they're not always as tipical as one might think.

Appearance: bright colors, flashy items, not necessarly gold, but that's a huge plus. Usually long hair, both men and women.

Attitude: To die for! :D Loose, viviacious, cross one and the whole clan is on your back, be a friend to one, all of them respect you. Pretty fair actually, people, society pushes them over the edge sometimes.

Work style: Not a style, or not really work, prefferably little "business" with loads of earnings.

General personality: Awesome! Like cats, they always land on their feet, usually with not too many scratches :)

Lets get straight about this. The term gypsy is a misnomer to cover many kinds of travelling folk. Traveller is a better name and will offend no-one. But if you want to get personal, there are Rom, the oldest and longest travelling folk in this country who have the remains of their language and culture, skills and beliefs. There are the Tinkers, the Diddies, and the Itinerants all who have their roots and cultures. All are different and you would have to get out on to the road to learn how to meet and understand their lives. As a Gaujo, you would not be allowed in or would you be trusted. Hundreds of years of persecution have seen to that. If you are luck enough to make a friend with a genuine Traveller, you are fortunate because you will be priviedged to enter a world fast disappearing. As for the sub headings you mention the answer is , different and they like it that way. May you way be one of peace. God Bless.

As far as appearance, maybe somewhat darker features. As far as everything else, why would I think about anything is I didn't know the person first?

Hippies. Long hair, torn jeans, loud prints, lots of fabric, beads, jewelry. Grunge-y fashion sense. Someone very open to ideas and cultures, a wanderer, restless soul. Spiritual, someone who uses recreational drugs and believes in the souls of the dead.
