Philippines tolerate such a transition but didn't mean you will be welcomed. You would be the subject of mockery and the child you will adopt will be subjected to harassment or insults mainly in provinces. If you are rich maybe you can hide from those nosy parker but for how long? I am pretty sure your parents knows all about your little magnificent but they don't know the extension of it only the time will tell you their reaction if they found out. If you are someone who has influence and money things will be ignored with the mercy of money but supposing you are not then mockery galore is what's waiting from your front door. You know how's filipinos tendencies, big mouth, busy body and jealous from anything and nothing. Try out

Malate, a district in Metropolitan Manila is known to be frequented by gay men. In fact the annual Philippine Gay Pride is held in that area.
Puerto Galera in Mindoro Island is a known beach destination that is also frequented by gay men.
In fact all major cities (Cebu, Davao) in the Philippines has a large gay community unfortunately they are not yet totally accepted. Tolerated, yes but accepted is another story.
The Catholic Church is making sure that there is a status quo.

So you're gay?
Let go of those resentments and be gay! Philippines may not be a gay-friendly country but hey they have lots of tourist-friendly sites.
Happy pride!

I've only been in Manila and Cebu, but both cities were very tolerant. There were a lot of openly gay people, trans, you name it, and no one even batted an eyelash.

Filipinos are very accepting of gays, most of all the ones who are obvious about it- in the way they carry themselves etc. We think they are hilarious.
Enjoy your stay in the Philippines.... you will find many gays there.... but please don't fool around with our kids- okay?!... I don't care how much money your organization spent there- behave!
