I just turned 16 in May, but this birthday was not celebrated. Why ? Because my dad found out that i got a 'B+' instead of a 'A+' which he wanted from me in my exams. He was so furious that he cane me on my birthday. After the whole seneiro, only my older bro wished me a happy brithday and colsole me, they totaly forget thet it was my birthday, none of them wished me a happy belated birthady until now. Does my daddy loves me?

Yeah I'm sure he does love you but to be honest it sounds like he has something else thats worrying him at the moment. Is he having a hard time at work or with women? Try not to be too hard on him, he shouldnt have taken it out on you and I'm sure hes sorry he did that. Talk to him, tell him you love him and that you were upset no-one celebrated your birthday. He'll be really sorry I'm sure. If you dont want to talk to him direct, get your brother to talk to him for you. Good Luck

Ur daddy does love u. That's why he caned you. It's because he wants the best for you. However, I do not agree with the way he dealt with the situation. You did very well to get a B+, and he should of encouraged you by celebrating that.
I'm really sorry he ruined your birthday. I know it has gone now, but try to arrange a fun day out and talk to your family,asking them to help celebrate that you are now 16. Now that your 16 your father should find alternative ways to punish you, as you are (almost) a woman in your own right.

do not feel bad. Happy Birthday. My family never celebrated my birthday. But my brother and sisters always had big parties. It sucked it really did. So I know what you are going through. I am 38 years old, and my family still has a get together for my bro and sis birthday but not mine. Hell the only card I get is from my auto insurance company.... i am not a freek or anything. But I feel bad. I am not a stalker. I want to buy you a birthday present. I hope it makes you feel better. I have the means and I want to do this. I am not a stalker. I am a mother of a soon to be 13 year old. So if you would email me your name andn address i will get you something special in the mail. No strings attatched. I know what it feels like, and I do not wish that on anyone.....I a female, and I do non profit charity work. so i can be trusted.

I personally, don't believe in caning, but I am sure that he was trying to take good care of you. Everyone was too upset. They got rapped up in the bad situation. They love you.

Yes your father loves you. Strange punishment, but it was meant to teach you something. You can not take anything for granted in this world. You must try your best at all times and when you do not meet expectations there are consequences.
