I am about to buy a One Bed Flat in the UK for just me to live in. I am trying to work out my budget so if people in or have been in a similar situation can tell me the average monthly bills for -

Electricity
Gas
Water

It would be a great help. I have guessed at £110pm for all 3.

Thanks for the advice I have already included Council Tax, TV Licence, Cable Package, Insurances, Ground Rent and Maintenance Charges in my little budget. If I can work out the average of Lecky, Gas and Water I am all set.

My bills for the year are,
Council tax £1650
Electicity £366
Gas £125
Water £70
Water is low as I am on a meter

Elec, gas and water would be about £47 per month for me

So many things affect this that any meaningful estimate is impossible. However, if you contact the various utility companies they can tell you what the billings were for the previous years. Of course, your usage patterns can influence this quite a bit either way but it's the most valid starting point available.

Usually, our monthly bill ranges from $500-600. Right now, may family includes myself, my husband, and my 26.5 month old son plus 2 indoor cats and 1 outdoor cat. I usually shop at the super walmart grocery store and sam's club. I hate clipping coupons, so usually just buy what we need and what I like to eat.

unsure about water but the most I have paid for my gas and electric combined is £105 a month.
Council tax can be anything from £90 a month upwards depending where the house is.

You will probably average on £5.00 per week for each of these bills. Don't forget council tax, t.v licencing, phone bill, etc.
