It's obviously about sex. Doesn't it devalue marriage? When people say why get married when you're already having sex? Getting married solely for sexual purposes doesn't make sense to me! Besides, it's rather degrading when it comes to female sexuality, don't you think?

If that's the truth, I'm glad I live in a society where premarital sex is commonly accepted!

whats degrading about female sexuality is people that still believe a woman has to feel ashamed for having sex. why is it ok for a man to be promiscuous, and not a female? what makes men so damn special?

I agree 100%. In today's society, marriage is so disrespected and so many people don't even know or understand the meaning of marriage. Some people get married, because their partner is "good in bed". It's sick.
Woman let that happen. Woman used to have so much control, because woman used to be so respected. They use to be virgins until they were married. Sex had nothing to do with the reasons they were getting married. They would date different people and when the right person came along, they would get to know each other for years, not months and then they would fall in love with alot of Love, Respect, Trust, Loyalty, Honesty and Value and that couple MADE LOVE.
That's the meaning of marriage. It is too incredible and so many people do not know what they are missing. The couple that gets married for sex is getting a divorce. Unfortunately, that is happening so often and those poor children are suffering. This is why I blame woman. Woman are letting some idiot come into their life, have sex, get them pregnant and LEAVE! Then the idiot father left to go do the same thing to some other woman. All because the idiot wants to have sex! There isn't a man on this planet that could do that to me.

the quote is about men. It is the man who concentrates on his ability to get sex to make the decision to marry. If a man is getting all he wants outside of marriage he will take longer to decide that there is more to life than just sex.
