I have some names in mind
Serafina Serenity for a girl
Phoenix Gabriel for a boy
Those names have significant meanings to me but it's always in the back of my mind that kids can be SO mean. But they should be all right right? If I have a girl she could go by Sera and a boy could always go by Gabriel or Gabe right?

Love the names. Of course they will be fine...I can't think of something bad they could say.
By the way, Gabriel is not mean for a boy...it's for both boys and girls...it's all in the way you pronounce it that determines if it's a boys name or a girls name. I have known so many Gabriels in my day....all of them male. People are so ignorant sometimes...crawl out from under your rock.

If anything, I would use Gabriel for the first name and Phoenix for the middle name.

I think it's hard to give a kid a name when you know it might cause them grief. Boys tend to have a harder time with unusual names. I like the name Phoenix but, I have no idea how it will come across to other kids except as unusual -- it doesn't send up any red flags for me. I think the girl's name you have is a litttle much -- too long and too similar sounds.

I'm not exactly sure how too pronounce the first name but I like the name Phoenix.
Kids will find a problem with somthing no matter what your childs name, how they look, or whatever. It's the way kids are.
Name them whatever you feel in your heart. What ever name you see as your childs when you look into there eyes for the first time.

Sara would be the short name for serafina and phoenix is a very cool name for a kid

I honestly don't see anything wrong with those names that your kids would get picked on for. They sound fine to me, and you are right, they could always be called by a nickname if desired.

PHOENIX IS AN AWESOME NAME!!!!!! We named our daughter Phoenix Alexandria and everyone we know absolutely loved it. We had a handfull of people tell us they didn't like it, but it's your baby! Phoenix is a unixex name and can be broken down into Phe, Nix or Nixie. We call her Phoenix/Nixie.
Kids tease kids for any reason, name, weight, where they live, what they know, etc....don't pick a simple boring name because they may get teased one day. Pick the name you like. It's your baby. If you and your spouse like the name, so will your baby!

those are beautiful names it doesnt matter what you name your child if a kid wants to tease them they will with any name i named my first born cassandra cory and everyone told me that was a hard name for a child well my child is now 16 years old loves her name and is a writer! the names you picked are perfect i love them good luck
