By far the best FLV Player is, ironically, FLV Player. You can get it and read reviews on it here:

vlc doesnt read youtube flv. i tried (if u use videodownload or youtube grabber)
try flv player (probebly the best except the video you download dont have metadata so you cant make it full screen)
any flv player

Download the SUPER program by eright soft.
It can play the .flv type files and also convert them to other types of files like .mpg
