I would think "aww, how cute", then grab my fiancee's hand in mine and ponder on how wonderful love is. No matter what your sexual orientation.

Women regularly walk arm in arm and hand in hand as a sign of friendship here in the UK. On the other hand men are frowned upon if do the same! Odd isn't it! Nothing is said about footballers hugging and kissing each other when a goal is scored!

If of around the same age, I'd think they're gay , at least in the United States. I noticed its not uncommon for straight friends of the same sex to hold hand in Europe though.
BTW: Come on everyone, quit being so PC; just because you don't judge people doesn't mean you don't notice two guys holding hands in the U.S. I'm not saying its wrong by any means, but it definitely is not the norm.

Well whenever me and my best friend are out with others i always have my arm around his waist, there are a few raised eyebrows now and again but noone has said anything nasty.
If saw 2 girls holding hands i will think 'its nice to be that close to a friend'.If i saw 2 guys well i will think the same thing as i did when seeing 2 girls hold hands.
And that is my honest answer. :)

Who cares?
People want to hold hands, seriously, it's so normal to me. I hold my girlfriends hands, and my male friends all the time.
People should be more tactile and affectionate.

I would think nothing of it, it's not my place or my business to think anything. Live and let live.
I have more things to think about than that like, my next pair of trainers or jeans to buy or my next night out with my friends getting blind stinking drunk..

I wouldn't think anything. If they want to hold hands they are quite entitled to. They may be partners or friends or family, you should not judge others.

this is totally normal in certain cultures ie AFRICA What makes it abnormal is just peoples background and culture and how well traveled they are For instance if you never traveled outside USA or Canada you'd never know other mannerisms are "normal"perhaps If you goto another country your usual mannerisms may be considered weird or rude, so its just your perspective.

Sweaty palms? Actually sweaty palms is a fluid transfer between individuals, so this is intimate and of a sexual nature in that case.
