I love stupid questions that answer themselves!
.
BTW folks, the Democrats did not vote against supporting the troops in Iraq.
,
Duh,,,, any idiot knows that the Pentagon's 2007 $500 billion dollar budget had the money to pay the soldiers wether they are in Iraq or not!
.
Duh,,,,,any idiot knows that if we end the war we sure as hell aint gonna just leave them there! Hmm, not a bad Idea George, we could make the troops pay for their own tickets home!
.
Duh,,,get a brain folks! ,If we end the occupation, we end the killing and maiming of Americans caught in the middle of a civil war! Hows that for support?
.
The $100billion dollar figure was a SUPPLEMENTAL budget that gave contractors extra money to finish the multi-billion dollar bases and embassy.
This was in addition to the $80 billion already set aside for the Iraq occupation in 2007.
.
The Extra money was included to make up for the funds lost through waste and thievery.
.
I mean, if the Bush government can't clean up after Katrina, how do you expect them to get anything done in Baghdad?
The Republicans learned a long time ago to treat the American people like uneducated idiots. All they have to do is repeat a few half-truths and lies over and over and the fools will believe it.
Yeah, it's like rooting for your favorite football team, never mind the subtle truth, just rah rah and go team go!

Fear is a wonderful rhetorical device employed by politicians of today and even back in the time of sophists. With the masses of undereducated and plain uneducated the tactic will prove once again successful.
A democracy can only thieve with an intelligent citizenry.
What can I say when television becomes a reliable source of information to the American people can I expect something less than a President Bush being elected?

probably so, even though, if Republicans wouldn't have trimmed Clinton's proposals for airline security, 9/11 probably would have never happened.
nearly everything Bush has done domestically, to promote national security, Clinton had already proposed, and was shot down by a republican majority, as violations of Americcan Liberties.
Republicans sat on their hands leaving Clinton's works unfinished, until they got us caught with our pants down on September 11th. and like airline hijackings where something new, they decided to combat terror as a knee jerk reaction to hide the fact that they failed us all.
Every other country in the world knew the hijackings where going to take place, that was evident in the way they started handling trouble passengers by sentencing them to 5 years in prison for the smallest infractions. They had contingency plans in place, in case a passneger did start trouble. We didn't. just a normal day for the safest form of transportation their is. They knew they where pplannning to hijack airplanes, they didn't know when or where, but they knew the attempt was going to be made. the problem is, they thought they where jst going to be able to barter with the hijackers to let everyone go once it happened. The hijackers had other plans.
these people crying that democrats are weak on security, need to take a look at executive orders issued by clinton and other presidential directives he ordered, to combat terror. There are many many of them.
For those of us who remember, Clinton wanted anti-terror legislation, he was constantly presuring congress to finish the bill. when they did, he criticized it for being too weak. those where republicans that dominated congress at that time.
heck, if they can't keep a few million dollars secure, and keep it from bouncing off the back of a truck, how the heck are they going to keep us secure?

Well, it got them back in the White House (GWB, specifically) in 2004, so I think that'd be a good strategy. If they can paint the Dems at "Saddam Lovers" who can't win the war, they may have repeated success.
But, they (the GOP) DID lose the midterms over Iraq, so who knows. Also, opinion polls are not boding well for the Prez on his war handling skillz, so voters may revolt. I think 3/4 of Americans are not happy with the way things are going. Makes you wonder why they hate freedom so much...;)

Don't have to. Your leaders have already shown where they stand on the war on terror. They have invested in defeat from the very begining. On this last effort by Bush and co. I marvled at Harry Reid who said the surge of more troops has failed .....even before they all got to Iraq! lol And the brek girl (John Edwards) who is running for the Democrat nomination said the war on terror is nothing more then a slogan on a bumper sticker. Your leaders are more interested in defending us from climate change then the real threat of Islam Fascists. Wake up! lol

Absolutely they will but we just have to remind the very strong on defense and security crowd that:
On the eve of 9/11, there was a
Republican President
Republican Governor and
Republican Mayor in charge.
If we elect another Republican how much great security can we expect.

Since the days of "Hanoi" Jane Fonda until Cindy Sheehan, the Democrat party has been weak on defense. I don't see this changing anytime soon.

In my opinion, "Democrats" and "Republicans" are both "weak on defense". Neither "party" is willing to "step up to the plate" and stand up for America. There is no "party" who has "stood up" for "American" values.
The American people believe that "we are the "chosen". "We" are the "savior of the world", economically and morally.
The Roman's believed this also; and they were defeated . America will be defeated because of their "egotism, and the "government's" belief that they are "all powerful".

We don't have to they are all saying it themselves.
The real question is will any democrat state their true agenda? Higher taxes on the middle class, seizing control of private property and industry, more propaganda in schools and less education, socialism which make government the master and the citizen the slave.

If they ever did something, the republicans would stop using it.
To Roy:
At the time of the 1993 WTC bombing there was...
a Democrat President-who did nothing.
a Democrat Governor-who did nothing.
and a Democrat Mayor-who did nothing.
