It sounds like a fine name.

Kids will be kids and pick on whatever name they think is different but that's simply how they are. If you're that worried about kids picking on your kid for that name, call him by a nickname and make sure the teacher and other students do as well.

I work in a daycare center and I can't tell you how many times I've seen on the roster 'firstname (NICKNAME) lastname'

You'll have a long while to get him used to either or name and it'll be a while until he's in preschool after that, so don't sweat it.

Sounds like Sehvard, like Har Vard. Excellent oratory!

It's cool and fit for the modern days, though kids may pick on your child for that. But it's your child and nobody has the right to forbid you from using that.

Unusual names are on the rise anyway..

Well, opinion wise I don't like it. Sounds too much like served instead of sevard to me.

Sorry.

If you like the name however, that's all that really matters.

It sounds like umm, whatever the place your home toilet is connected to. Only spelled differently. If your language is English - avoid, avoid.

Ummm.... looks like it is pronounced severed. As in severed head or severed limb. I guess it's good... for an axe murderer.
