I think that because he has stuck to playing the same character but each movie he gets better, people are going to be interested to see what he can do outside of Harry Potter.

I think by the time the last Harry Poter movie is finished, people aren't going to feel weird seeing him in adult roles. I think the main people in the film are going to be able to do fine in other movies if they don't take time off. He may have to be a supporting player in future films because there's a difference between an established character selling the film vs. the actor selling it. It's going to be like starting from scratch. He's going to be set for life and not have to work. He's prob. going to be offered similar movies but will prob. take a mix of comedy, drama, and suspense.

He's also not going to "look" like Harry Potter once it's done.

These movies are very different from other films because they had to make the amount of books that have been written and keep the same actors, so they've prob. had to work harder in trying to keep the films going while they're still young enough to be believable as students.

I think he'll do a mix of Broadway, another West End show, indie movies, and big budget films.

No - he won't be typecasted. He is still young enough. He can leave the Harry Potter films - go to college or uni or whatever, takes a few years off movie acting and come back. By then, his features will have changed as well and he will look different in other films.

I think he will do fine.

Was Sean Connery so type casted as James Bond that he couldn't work again?

The Harry Potter actor will grow up and will be able to handle other roles.

Dennis Hopper outgrew Chester, Harrison Ford outgrew both Han Solo and Indiana Jones, so actors can move beyond type casting.

Yes he can...he recently played a role in Equus.maybe not as a leading man again,i mean chances might be slim,or not do so well at the box office, but i think he still has a future as long as he improves his acting and hires the right agent.

No, he has already shed his typecast by appearing nude throughout the stage play of "Equus" in England and it is a huge success.

I don't think so, he's also been in theatre in England in his off-time. He seems to be such a versatile actor, I think he'll overcome the "typecast" thing.
