No one has evidence that Chris Benoit did anything wrong and he's getting disrespected for stupid speculation and rumors. What if he's innocent? What if he's the poor guy who was the one to be killed? Have you ever thought of that? What if it wasn't even a murder suicide? The point is there is NO EVIDENCE yet! Either way we lost a great man and a great wrestler and he deserves a tribute and respect.

I just wonder why people would just believe he killed his family like that, i mean he loved his famly escpecially his kids! Dont think that before you get facts.

And even if he did do it, he was still a legendary wrestler and deserves to be respected and remembered s that.

hun I feel you. I know that alot of people have their own opinions
about Chris whether they liked him or not. But now that he's gone.... the WWE is gonna change completely and without Benoit ever becoming a wrestler.. WWE wouldn't be what it is today and I think that they need to keep that in mind. About the whole killing thing and what the police think is just what they THINK what happened cuz they don't know for sure what exactly happened. KEYWORD = THINK so the people shouldn't start assuming he did it bcuz they cant prove it yet. So really..they should take a little time out and give the man and his family some respect

I agree. We should give him the respect he deserves until we know otherwise. He was a great man, a talented wrestler, and one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. We don't know for a fact that he did or didn't kill his family, but be nice until we do.

I agree that it is unfair and absolutely ludicrous to just assume that he is to blame before any official ruling or evidence is revealed. To do so amidst only speculation is wrong.

However, with the looming possibility that he MAY have been responsible for the deaths of his wife, son and himself, (and an allusion to the WWE's knowledge of actual evidence to support this fact on their own website) I feel that it was in bad taste for WWE to automatically throw him up on that pedestal of "fallen legend".

Noone would have blamed the WWE for waiting until Tuesday, or friday or even next Monday to do a tribute to him. Simply pull the 3 hour McMahon special, put on 2 hours of basic matches, sans storyline and run tribute photos of Benoit, saying "we'll miss you, Chris".

If OJ Simpson had killed Niccole and the waiter, THEN killed himself, the NFL would NOT have immediately run an OJ Simpson tribute on Monday Night Football.

Yes, Benoit was a great in the business. But IF, he ended his life as the muderer of his wife and son, he doesn't deserve to be held up in ANY positive light whatsoever.

I will end also agreeing with the questioner, here. I sincerely hope they determine he didnt do it.

As far as his personal life, I know nothing about him. All I know is that he and two members of his family are dead and he MAY be the cause of it.

But I, as I have most of the night, try to answer questions from a wrestling perspective as they pertain to chirs benoit. He was damn good at that, and that's something noone can doubt or take away.

I'll wait until all the evidence is taken into account before I laud him as a saint or reserve a space in hell for him next to Saddam Hussein.

yes i think its very disrespectful, and even if he is found to have murdered his family i wont believe it, he was a great man, and after seeing on the tribute video how he raised his kids to be respectful and dress nice theres no way that he killed them, i will never believe that, and yes he did deserve that tribute, he was a great wrestler that acually had respect and class. RIP BENOIT

I may not like a lot of what is being said, but you have to expect it on here. A lot of people see this as a chance to get attention by making fun of a very sad situation or by throwing around unfounded rumors. It's natural in a time like this.

What are you gonna think in a couple weeks when there is PROOF and it is a FACT that he killed his child? How are you gonna feel then calling him a legend? Are you still gonna think he deserves respect? tribute? Honestly wont you be ashamed for speaking so highly of a man that killed his own child?
