I am curious ( same with my Pro-Life/Pro-Choice Q&A) to know what different people think about this.

I am bisexual so I think people should be allowed to marry whoever they want regardless of race, sex, or religion.

Oh yeah us bisexuals do have beliefs! I do agree that the human dog comparision is out of the question. By the way there is one tribe that if a girls first tooth was on the top she had to marry a dog.

To those who talk about Gods law. I think that we can't prove that so we shouldn't base our laws of it.

Yes, I am for gay marriage. Reason being for equality, not because I subscribe to gays in particular. It is a matter of human rights as described in the Constitution; "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness".

This was not meant to a select group, but to all. You can be against gay marriage, but the Constitution says otherwise. Gay people have to endure public displays of affection of the opposite sex, so why not those support the displays of gay affections in public?

I take no sides, but logically it seems that by the Constitution and that people of opposite sex display their affections, that gay people should also have the right to do the same.

As for your "Pro-Life/Pro-Choice, many gay people give great homes to children how grow up to be valuable additions to our culture. It is rare that a gay couple raises a gay child. It is more that straight couples raise a gay child.

Love is what is the factor in this debate. Take our Vice President as an example with his gay daughter. He doesn't like it, but it does exist. Our President seems to have a straight daughter. What does it matter as long as we all get along?

they should be allowed to. Being gay is not a choice...they are born that way the same way a straight person is born straight. If you know a gay person, ask them when they started realizing it...probably as early as grade school. Also, comparing same sex couples getting married to a human marrying a dog is silly...not even a relevant comparison. I have 2 father-in-laws and they have done an amazing job raising 3 girls. They are all very successful and well rounded. Having gay parents didnt change them at all. In fact, they love it.

I believe that gay people should be permitted to marry. People want to talk about civil unions and all that, but from what I read about all this it seems to me that civil unions are marriages if they confer the same rights and responsibilities as do conventional opposite-gender unions. I've been with my partner for more than 30 years now. Yes, we'd like to get married officially. Why not? It won't hurt anyone.

I am against it. Homosexuality is against everything....the bible, morals, science, ect. Our genetic makeup is not for 2 men or 2 women to be together. Man/man and woman/woman can not reproduce. That should tell you something right there. It does not take a rocket scientist to know that it is wrong. If everybody in the world was gay there would be no one in the world eventually. That should also tell you something. Gay people have demons in them that make them that way and trick them into thinking they were born that way when they were not.

No, I'm honestly not. Gay people are human, but marriage is the basis for creating healthy families that grow from generation to generation. Call me old fashion, but marriage is a sacred act between created by God, to join man and woman together. Its not just about love its about creating families.

I don't hate gay people, but marriage is for the sake of making families not to show a display of love.

My view point.

every person has to make his own choices. the problem is the other people when trying to tell you what to do and when to do it. i will be hurt if i had a gay son or daughter, but that's the way they are created, and nothing can be done about it. about pro-life, pro-choice, i think that is irrational to have sex with no protection and then have an abortion. but if i decide to have an abortion anyways , i think that is nobody's business.

Of course I am. It should've been legalized YEARS ago, but people persist in trotting out the tired old irrelevant objections and somehow they continue to persuade. Equal rights are important. Anyone who objects on moral or religious grounds need to take it to their priest or shaman, etc. We're talking about the law here, not whether or not a deity might bless or condemn the union.

Well you just don't care what God says about it then ,do you?
My opinion is the one God set down as law.
Marriage is between a man & a woman.
In the last days, men will lay with other men as they lay with a woman & become abominations. There will be wars & rumors of wars & mother will be against daughter & father against son. There will be unnatural affections(pedophiles,etc...)& mens Gods will be their own bellies.

It is absolutely necessary for a lot of people. I do not think that I have the right to choose what others can/cannot do.

Live and let live, I say.

i can care less for homos, but i dont think they should be allowed to have kids. THats what marriage was intended for. To MAKE your own family. If they want kids thats WHY women [AND MEN] exist.
