i feel bad for you..that must really suck.
of course it can effect a girl's mood..she's taking pure hormones. maybe you should talk to her about it..tell her that she's a little moody and you think that she should talk to her doc about switching up her meds: either lower dosage or different brand/method.
hopefully she won't get mad at you for telling her that she's moody and kind of annoying you.

They will definitely affect her mood. If she goes to her doctor she can probably get a lower dosage. Sometimes, birth control pills will cause irritability, weight gain, depression and a mess of other problems. She really may be feeling a bit out of sorts and does not really mean to be so irritable toward you. Help her out by going to the doc with her. Help her find a comfort zone.

the person who answered above me pretty much summed it all up but I have been taking YAZ for over a month now to help treat my acne and the only side affect i had was breast tenderness and swelling and my period didnt go away until a few days ago, after the first month. many woman will tell you that birth control causes you to gain weight but that is a myth and it has been scientifically proven it will not cause you to gain weight. ask your doctor what he/she thinks is the best birth control for you :]

What KIND of birth control is she on?

Yes birth control can affect mood swings.

If you don't tell us what type she is on, we can't tell you if we've experienced or know people who have experienced the same mood swings on the same pill.

It does affect mood. She's taking hormone pills. See if a different type (a lower hormone dosage) would be better for her.
