Hi! Search Amazon.com for "New English Bible" or something to that affect.. There's one called the "Everyday Bible" that's supposed to be good. I tried to order it on Paperbackswap.com, but they canceled my order. Good luck finding one you feel comfortable with. :o)
PS.. If you haven't tried paperbackswap.com, you definitely should. It's a free book swapping website. You do have to pay for shipping, though, which is usually 1-3 dollars. Anywho, good luck!

I find that the Living Bible is great! It's my favorite version, and I grew up on the KJV. It's written in such a way that it's very easy to read, like a modern book. I hope this helps!

If I can remember right, the title of the easiest Bible to read is called THE BOOK, and is written in modern English and reads more like a novel. It also tells you the author of each book, the content of each book, and each verse does not start on a new line, such as in the King James or New English versions.
