Every sport has significant mental impact, whether it's within a team or as an individual.
If you're playing your best, and you want to win, then your chance of success is heightened substantially.
All sports require a strong psychological aspect.

No. Too much depends on reaction and reading the other player quickly. I would say a sport like long distance running, horse racing, or long speed skating requires more mental work gauging the strength of the players and the timing of the final rush.

people who play golf will say golf.
but i say tennis.
people who don't play tennis don't know how much is going through your head when you're down 0-6, 0-5.
or even if you are about to win, they don't realize how hard it is to close it out. you do have to react in tennis, but that isn't everything. say you are playing against what tennis players call a "backboard" they get everything back and never miss. they are the hardest people to play against, even though they are feeding you easy shots. now you could smash those balls on any other day, but not against a backboard. and if that isn't all mental then i don't know what is.

No, any sport can be mental, from baseball, to cage fighting. Tennis is tough because you are out there alone with no coach, but it's not the only tough mental sport.

Ive played tennis and golf all my life and golf is much more mentally challenging than tennis. There's no real oponent in golf besides the course and yourself.

No way. Tennis is a game of reaction. Golf is far more mental.

No, it is not true...if it were, then Serena wouldn't win any games. She is one of the dumbest tennis players.
