(I guess some of the pro-life men aren't as choosy)

I still find Dennis Miller's rant on abortion the best. Here are the highlights:

"There are far too many abortions performed in this country. And I also believe that at the end of the day, as much as I might disapprove, none of them are really any of my business.

We should all agree that abortions should be legal in the case of rape, incest and when the mother's life is at risk -- that's just common sense. But excluding that obvious assumption, everything else in the abortion arena is 'in play.'

It seems that religion is most often the backboard for every bank shot put up by someone making it their business to get into your business.

Have the courage and strength to live your own life, by your own standards, and stop trying to call the shots for everyone else."

It amazes me that we are still allowing the conservatives to control the debate of women's reproductive health. The late term abortion issue should be a non issue as nearly all of them are done when the mothers health is in peril, and are medically necessary. It amazes me how many liberals get duped by this issue. Now we have started allowing legislators tell our doctors how to practice medicine when only a small group of them have actually attended medical school.
The best way to prevent abortions is to prevent unwanted pregnancies. If the religious right really wanted to reduce abortion, they would support universal health care, preschool, primary and college education, subsidized childcare, and other institutions that support healthy families staying together, and higher self esteem in youth in particular. Kids that are kept busy after school and feel pride of achievement are less likely to use alcohol and drugs, and delay sexual activity. Unfortunately, many families cannot afford to pay for them after covering other necessities. Interestingly, Jane Fonda, a born again Christian has been involved in programs helping inner city girls avoid pregnancy for nearly two decades through esteem building activities. The Republicans only want to chip away at Roe V Wade, to keep it alive as a red meat issue to stimulate Christians to go to the polls. A black friend years ago said that if a law could be passed to prevent the abortion of white babies only, it would have been passed already. I have noticed many so called right to lifers are racist. I guess they can't stand the idea of white babies in particular being aborted, especially when they are soon to lose their majority status population wise. Of course if Roe V Wade were to be overturned, I wonder how long it would be until a whisper campaign could torpedo virtually any female candidates candidacy. Rape and impregnation are methods men have used to dominate women from the beginning. For the men who need to mind our business for us, they can't stand the idea that a woman can choose to rip his seed from her belly. Every abortion is a tragedy, but I would rather find out my teenage daughter had a safe legal abortion, rather than getting called to the emergency room when she's hemorrhaging to death, like in the days before abortion was legal.

What I find really ironic is that the men who do this are whores like Newt Gingrich who ALWAYS have a woman on the side. I'll bet more than one woman has aborted his baby. They might stoop low enough to screw him, but they don't want to tempt God and nature by bearing his fruit. I could run a list of the Repubics who are the same way.

Pretty funny since many of us pro-life men have families. And to get a family, you have to have a woman do more than give you a one night stand.

BTW, women already have a reproductive choice. If youre going to put out, then be motherly enough to take care of what comes out. The last thing anybody should do though is kill a baby. It has not choice in the matter and all humans have a fundemental right to exist.

I am pro-choice and a woman but I will step up to the plate in an effort to stop partial birth abortions or, any version there of at any point.

Honestly, I really don't think that someone whom would consider abortion is very particular about whom they give their bodies to. These women more, or less use abortion as a means of birth control.

Yes, I know many men who are simply pro-choice because they don't feel it's their place to say.

Above - how many women's husband/bf force them to have the baby? I don't feel exploited by abortion, although it's not something I'd chose for myself.
