What does a read me file mean when it says download to the root of the memory stick?

I want the Theme Manager for my psp and everywhere i download the readme says download to the root of the memory stick. What is the root of the memory stick? Can you please include how to get there on MyComputer?

The root directory is basic starting point of the drive. Its symbol is \ under MSDOS/Windows. In My Computer, when you click on the drive letter, you are in the root. In the root directory of any drive you may make folders/sub-directories and the names of these have a path which starts at the root, like this
F:\mypics\jun07\circus\ Looking in the root of F drive you would see files/documents and a folder labeled mypics and if you clicked on that, there would be a folder jun07 and clicking on that you would see a folder circus and while you could see image files along the way if you put them there, normally you put your pictures in the final directory/folder.
