I need to make an animal cell but instead of using a styrofoam ball, i need to do something creative.
[example: a town and the school is the nucleus (brains of the town), the street lights are etccc.]

any ideas?

Make a cartoon of the parts in motion. If you can draw.

A bike? You might be hard pressed, though. Maybe the chain is the ER, and the spokes are cytoplasm. . . the pedals would be mitochondria? Maybe the handle bars are the nucleus, since they decide where to go. . .don't know about the DNA.

Um. . .a pool? Including the pump, filtration system, vacuum, maybe kids playing in it, a diving board for membranous pores (for facilitated diffusions, eg), a beach ball for a ribosome. . .again, hard.

Maybe a pond or river would be better. Microlgae for mitochondria. Macroalgae for ER. Water = cytoplasm; nucleus = a freshwater dolphin (they do exist!) since they're smart and can reproduce. Trout for Golgi? They do transport energy, in the form of their bodies. But they're not found with dolphins. . .

what about a computer? the chip would be the nucleus. I think that would be great.

It's always easy to do a school or a factory.

But you could also do a summer camp.
