..do people start saying they hope that the questioners children are taken so they know what it feels like? I get the whole rivalry thing on here but I don't understand why people would want children to be abducted because of their parents views. Please explain. Oh, I'm sitting on the fence about liking or hating the McCanns these days to avoid arguments so please don't categorise me in this.

Already people are missing the point. I don't want to know if you like or dislike the McCanns. I'm wondering why people think it's OK to want other peoples children to be abducted.

Greeney unfortunately there are some extremely immature people out there.
I have also read a post that said that Kate should be gang raped in order for her to feel what Madeleine must be feeling.
I don't agree with the parents or their supporters but there is no need to wish such a thing on anyone. Totally immature and unnecessary. These people seriously need to take a look at what kind of people they are wishing such a thing upon any other person regardless of their views.
It doesn't paint them in avery good light does it?

I don't think anyone would wish a child to be abducted. The point people are trying to make is that these parents left their children unattended resulting in Madeleine's abduction or disappearance and that the parents should take responsibility for this. If they had hired a babysitter, taken the children with them or stayed at home, Madeleine would not be missing now.

People answer questions in that way because they simply are not adult.
The whole point of Y/A is so that people can ask questions, and some of those questions might be contentious, but you can answer them in an adult way without being abusive.
Hence the abusive button. Rarely is it pushed but of late every time any one of us says anything that criticises the McCanns it is pushed. I think it just tells us that some immature people are using this site.
I don't agree with the McCanns, but I respect other people's opinions. I am not going to give myself bad karma by wishing bad things on them, what is the point of that?

Caesar's Wife.
How do the parents feel??? The parents do not feel any responsibility for abandoning their child. They have made that quite clear and aggressively too.
They don't blame each other. They don't blame themselves. They get angry when anyone even hints that they might be responsible.
How do they feel? I have no idea. They don't really deal in feelings, do they? After all, that's why they were praised so much in the beginning - how strong they were.
And I don't care either. If they had felt half as much on 3 May as you claim they do now they wouldn't be in this position.
What I do care about is their missing daughter who is the victim in this matter. She was in their care - and they messed it up.
Do you know, Caesar's Wife - I don't think Kate McCann went back to check on her children at all on 3 May, until 10.10pm. She didn't bother her backside leaving the table. 10.10pm is the only factual time she or anyone else has supplied and neither she nor Gerry will say when they went or how often they went.
If Madeleine is returned safe and well - and I hope she is - both Gerry and Kate McCann should be prosecuted.

I don't understand the whole "sins of the father" mentality either. I know Eden has had emails threatening her childrens safety because of her views, and in my mind, that puts the people who sent those emails, the people who post these comments, on the exact same level as the people who took Madeleine. How can a child be blamed for their parents mistakes? This is truly evil. These people need locking up too.

Because people who support the McCanns know that they are well out numbered by people who dont support them so they use it as a weapon because they have no other argument they can use. Im sorry, but it is cruel and nasty and to wish that upon anyones child makes them as much in the wrong as the McCanns themselves.

I've noticed that.
What I don't get is their ability to defend someone that they don't even know. Is it because the McCanns are 'supposed' to be genuine doctors? Does this make them any different? Why would you do that?
I've seen the 'hope your kids are taken' several times and also daring to actually compare anybody who questions the McCanns with abductors and paedophiles.
Its pathetic.

No I am not going to categorise you, just giving you a helping hand to help you decide whether to like them or not.
Had a posh meal and neglected their 3 babies
With a child missing they toured the world
They love the media attention and no out of pocket expenses
Did not grieve and celebrated their daughter missing 50 days
Plenty of sightings, but McCanns never followed them up
Changed their story as often as the weather changed
Gerry lost (or so we are told) his wallet and we discovered he prefers missing photos to his missing daughter
This list goes on and on.
I hope this helps you to make up your mind.

people just don't like others opinion.but to wish an abduction on their children is below the belt,in fact it is downright nasty.the mccanns did wrong.FACT. I would hate to be in their position and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. But i wouldn't leave my children to God and good neighbours.and i can't understand the people who still don't believe what the mccanns did was wrong, then call and wish horrid things on good parents who love and look after their children because they dare to disagree with them.

It's the easiest thing to say for a quick bit of retaliation it doesn't hold much value though . I think you might even find that it's the so called "nice people" who are wrapped up in their own cotton wool making these remarks .
Be careful what you wish for and certainly what you wish on others
