If I am not mistaken, they love to tout GWB,s 24 - 33% rating. It appears that GWB has the Democrats by almost double. Wow... the country was really ready for change huh? HOLD ON.... THEM LIBS ARE SHAKIN IT UP NOW!

BTW... This is the lowest rated congress according to the Gallop Polls.

PRINCETON, NJ -- The percentage of Americans with a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in Congress is at 14%, the lowest in Gallup's history of this measure -- and the lowest of any of the 16 institutions tested in this year's Confidence in Institutions survey. It is also one of the lowest confidence ratings for any institution tested over the last three decades.

Priorityz... thank you... it only took 10 answers before someone (you) pulled out the "Blame Bush Card".

Way to go!

Cassandra... think really hard about what you just wrote. With Bush's approval rating at around 30%, obviously there are many Conservatives who do not agree with the President in certain area's either.

Cute little "brainwashing" analogy though. Just be sure it actually "holds water" before using it next time.

Cassandra... due to your blind biased opinion you will never get this. I don't like his stance on illegal invasion and I don't like how he has handled SOME of the aspects of the war and I don't like the amount of spending he is doing. He needs to be more conservative and he needed to fight the war to win, not to appease the little PC crowd. However, there has been more thrown at this president during his term than most others. We HAVE NOT had another attack on our soil since 9/11... our Economy is doing VERY well... unemployment is Very low... more people can afford houses than ever before... small business is growing thanks to tax cuts.... really, you can't see any of this?

Priorityz....

For 9/11 I blamed the terrorists. Remember those guys? They were the ones that actually flew the planes into the buildings.

I do hear nut jobs on here claiming Bush blew up the buildings...

The only thing I blamed Clinton for was the fact that he let Bin Ladden go twice when he was offered him. I do believe that even if he did take him it probably would not have stopped 9/11. I don't think it really takes a genius to train suicide bombers to fly planes into buildings and carry it out since it had not been done before. Just like some moron who walks into a small shop and blows himself up.... no genius there... just a moron willing to do it with the promise of "virgins" waiting for him.

I love to see the libs squirm and scramble when the facts come out.
Hey libs stop spinning I'm getting Dizy.
I even love how some dude tried to differentiate between a confidence poll and a job poll. Are you kidding me? what if your kids told you they had no confidence in you but you were doing a great job- would that be good news or even make sense?
Keep shinning the light man! fun to watch the libs scramble.
As far as the approval rating usually being bellow 28% this is big time spin too. You don't hear them bragging about the presidents approval rating being around that number. Also i'm no mathamaticion but 14 is half of 28 that means its pretty dang bad.
Gridlock? like thats the repubs fault that all the libs do is throw out far wacko lib bills that even hollywood would have a hard time getting infront of.

You think that's low just wait until the immigration reform thingy gets passes and rammed down our throats. 14% will be considered good.
You're right though. That change people wanted is here! In the form of a do-nothing Congress. Oh wait, the minimum wage got increased, non binding resolutions were passed and there have been endless witch hunts against the Bush Administration. So I stand corrected on the do-nothing Congress.

hahaahaha

That's a confidence poll, not a job approval poll, the two are different.

The latest Gallup poll puts the Congressional job approval rating at 24%. While it isn't any less dismal than the confidence poll, it's still technically better than the 14% that the right is touting.

I love how try to you bash the liberals on this one, but it's apparent that you are ignoring the 49 Republicans and the moderate Democrats in Congress. Do they get a free pass?

It's pretty low. Is that what you wanted to hear?

It's low because people want this war to end, and they haven't stopped it. Why can't they stop it? Because bush wants this country to spend 8 BILLION DOLLARS on a mistake.

Congress' ratings are also low because of gridlock. The republican congress blocks everything the Democrats try to do, which couldn't happen before the Congressional elections because the republicans controlled Congress, and controlled overruling vetoes by the president. Of course, the president didn't veto anything, so there was no need, and that is why this country is as messed up as it is.

That's why it is low. Now think about what I wrote...

EDIT: Pull out the "blame bush card"? Boy, when 9/11 occurred, republicans (like you) came out with the "blame Clinton card". As a matter of fact, everything that bush did wrong was blamed on Clinton, so quit being a hypocrite.

It's called a double standard. It's page 3 of the lib operating manual.

Given this Congress, even 14% seems high. It falls squarely on Pelosi who made all sorts of promises, then promptly broke all of them.
Why don't you hear liberals touting their congresses 14% approval rating? They probably don't even know it. Their idea of fair & balanced reporters are clowns like Stewart or Cobert, who avoid inconvienient truths like this.

Liberals are not necessarily Democrats and vice versa....there is no "Liberal Party" or "Liberal Congress."

It should be low--they did not stand up to Bush's nonsense.
