When Raw came on tonight, it showed a picture of Chris Benoit. My first reaction is "Oh my God". He was only 40 years old. Then there was Vince McMahon stating that there would be a three hour special tribute to the life and career of the Rabid Wolverine. What made me mad is that McMahon tried to fake hie death. Benoit was supposed to face CM Punk in the finals to crown a new ECW World Champion, which was vacated as a result of Bobby Lashley being drafted to Raw. Benoit pulled out of the match because of "personal reasons". Benoit, his wife Nancy, and their seven-year-old son Daniel were found this morning in their suburban home in Atlanta. Police are treating this as a murder-suicide until the results of the autopsy. I feel Benoit should be remembered as a great wrestler, friend, husband, and father. Winning the World Heavyweight Championship was the best part of his career. What are your opinions about Chris Benoit? He will be sorely missed. Thank you, Chris

Chris Benoit was drafted to ECW from SmackDown just two weeks ago. I can't believe last Tuesday was his last match on ECW.

Chris Benoit and his wife maybe having problems which may have led to this unfortunate incident. In any case, we will never know what really happened because all the people involved are now dead. Let us just wait for the results of the investigation and let us not place judgement immediately on Chris Benoit. Chris Benoit will surely be missed.

I was never a huge Chris Benoit fan, but I've never thought that he would actually die. It really sucks how so many people are dying so frequently these days. Even though the evidence may point to it being a double murder suicide, I'm just going to give Chris the benifit of the doubt, and assume he wasn't respnsible.

Yea..When I first got my alarm warning thingy on my tv that wrestling was about to start i change the channel When i saw that picture that said 'IN memory of Chris Benoit 1967-2007' I started screaming..my heart sank i could believe he had his last match last week....he wasn't that old....Chris Benoit earned all the respect he had he was a great man...He will truely be missed..Chris if your reading this ( I know you are Chris..) I justed wanted to say that i love you and i hope you find happiness that you cant have on earth in Heaven....

We should all try to remember Chris for what he did in the wrestling ring and not what he did outside of it, to be honest i dont think the whole truth is out on his death and the death of his family members, i dont think Chris would do something like this, and until i am proved otherwise i will continue to believe that he didnt do it, he will be greatly missed and i wish this terrible tradgedy would have never happened.

i feel for any remaining family and friends of Cris..but other than that.. he was just a man..not some legend..or anyone of real importance..its the people u never or rarely hear of that are the true heroes in life..firefighters..good samaritans..etc. i dont look as a celebrity as anyone special at all in fact..and anyone who does..shud get their heads examined. my only hope is that the deceased are now in heaven..hopefully they are saved. i cant be live what i am hearing ...hes dead i cant belive it ,i loved to watch him wrestle ..like every one said he will be rember for a great wrestler he was and a great husban and a great father ....i cant belive hes gone and his family ...who would do some thing like that ,they have to be out of there mind ...yes it was tribble for the mcmans to fake what they did ,and know look what happen to a great wrestler and his family ,we all are asking why did this happen.and what could have been done to stop it ,i guess we will never know ....he will be missed and always rember ...god bless his family and love ones ..he will always be rember and loved by his fans ..he is and always be the worlds heavyweight champ ...my prays go out to his family friends ..why did thid happen to a great wrestler and his family ...god bless u all cindy

This is so sad. I always liked Chris. I am giving him the benifet of the doubt that he was a victum unless something else is proven.

ok benoit killed himself...that's what he did to himself and drafted himself towards hell...but why he did to his wife and child....just 7 years old child? when he would have killed that baby....did he not looked to his father? why he didnt did any any kind of mercy on himself? he was known as the "man"...and i always admired his acts in the ring..but outside the ring..he just proved himself a bastard....shame on u chris...be in hell

Benoit is a murderer and a coward! His little boy looked into the face of his killer - and saw his daddy! What a horrible, horrible thing! It breaks my heart when people kill their own children! He obviously was not that great of a husband and father, as you stated, or he would not have killed his wife and child! Killing yourself is one thing, but killing someone else is unforgivable!

But imagien if he was not dfated to ecw hed be on smackdown still and they might have notice him gone and could have help him.
