Everything that happens is put into motion by someone. It's the old "for want of a nail a shoe was lost, etc." You act and there are reprocussions of that act that never stop. The ripple effect. So I suppose we could say that behind everything that happens there was a conscious act. If we say that a "coincidence" is like an "accident", then everything has happened because somebody started the motion which resulted in whatever happened to you. Does this make sense? The so-called "coincidence" didn't just happen, it was caused by somebody somewhere upstream. At leas that's one explanation.

That there is a connection between things even if we don't see it. That fate is at work. That there is a meaning and purpose behind each seeming coincidence. Also, it has to do with perception. Once something has a meaning for you, you are more prone to notice it. For instance, after I bought a silver Hyundai I kept seeing them everywhere I went. Only because I was focusing on them more. After going to Europe & seeing Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, it kept showing up everywhere. I thought, what a coincidence that I'd never heard of it & then after I went it was the most popular castle in the world (on the cover of books, posters, calendars, it was made into sculptures & collector plates). But the truth was that those things would have existed regardless, it's only because I knew & loved the castle that I began noticing it, looking for it. My eye was drawn to it.

Coincidences are usually trying to tell you something. Take notice. Fate may be giving you a nudge...

i think it means that there is a reason for everything, or at least a hidden meaning to everything.

So if two people show up wearing the exact same clothes and shoes, it would not be a coincidence, but it was caused by some kind of fate or kharma or hidden meaning.

Personally, I don't believe this, but it makes you think sometimes.

What the person before said, everysingle thing happens for a reason, even the extremely small things like picking up a coin, or accidently walking into someone. I t basically says that no matter how irrelavant the situation seems, there is a reason it occured.

Dear Kris,

It means that they're all out to get you. Seek cover.

Seriously, every moment holds a lesson. Unfortunately, what we choose to learn from coincidence rests not only in our ability to perceive the lesson, but as well in our ability to put our new found knowledge into action.

Let me know when you figure it all out.
