All you can do it tough it out... It is working hard to force teethe out of the position they are so used to... Try to eat foods you don't have to bite hard into... And in a few days it wont hurt as much... I know how you feel but it will be worth it later...

Try to relax a bit, and get your mind off the pain. Have some friends over, or watch an intriguing movie. Not thinking about the pain all the time will help ease it. It's all about mind tricks.
Eat some ice cream too, it may help dull the pain.
Ice packs to the outside of the jaw can dull the pain also.

Ouch, I feel your pain. I have braces too. Sorry, I don't know what will help! Just try not to make it hurt anymore by clamping your teeth together. Eat soft foods...etc.

Yeah, I know, the only advice I have is that you'll get used to it in a couple of days. Just keep in mind you'll never have to wear them again - probably. My orthodontist told me I'll have to wear my retainer for the rest of my life - yeah right. At least it doesn't hurt.

I hope you feel better soon. Since you've already taken painkillers there's not much more you can do.

no, not really, maybe massaging your jaw with ice-cold medicine, try to put just a little bit since its a little bit strong and might make you eyes watery.

I had braces years ago, just give it a couple of days and all will be well. It's worth it too!
