now a year later I went from a size 3(could squeeze into a size 2) to a size 9. Is that normal for a after a period? I ate a lot, and a lot of junk, so is it the period, my eating habbits, or something else. I've never eaten healthily, but haven't gained weight until after my period.

The same thing happened to me! I've been a size 00 and only wieghed about 80 pounds since I was about 12 years old. And then after I turned 15, I got my first period. I gained about 25 pounds in like less than 3 months and grew a few inches. And I jumped up to a size 3 really quickly. I kinda sucked; but in the long run I was relieved because I had always been so skinny growing up and I hated it because I could never get clothes to fit right. But its been about six months since I gained wieght and I have been trying to keep on a healthy diet so I can stay healthy and look healthy. Cus most kids can eat almost anything they want and stay pretty much in shape; but once you are teen you tend to gain weight more easily. So don't worry, most girls tend to gain weight during their teens; hince the word baby fat!

dont worry about it and good luck. and remeber to stay on a healthy balanced diet that works for you. and dont worry about what the size of your jeans are; what matters most is how you feel!!

I did the same thing! I went from a size zero to seven, so yeah. Haha. I believe it's kind of your body becoming more womanly.

I eat healthy and always have. I have always done sports and exercise a lot. That wasn't my problem, maybe that's yours. I would try to be healthier and exercising, then see where that gets you.

Your problem is not connected to your period, it's connected to eating a lot and a lot of junk food. Time to cut back. You can gain some temporary water weight but it goes away. Your overeating. . .and do some exercise. . .
