No never! Because most of us live and act normally. Like locking up whenever leaving the house; informing the local police station that the house will be unoccupied if going away for a long period. Stranger entering the house without consent of the occupant is a criminal offence. Should report to the police. Sounds like you're living in an isolated place.

Yes. Before I went overseas, as advised by my peers, Malaysia do not have a good policy to protect houseowners in case of bad tenants, so as per his advice, I sold it eventhough I lost a bit of money. But I can have a "peace of mind". I think you havent heard about bad tenants failing to pay rents, damaging your property and left overnight. You cant do anything to them and by law, you need a court order to evict these people. By then the tenants would be long gone. Therefore I do not own any now as I am always on the move.

So solve the problem from the root, sell the property and buy again when you are back.

Do not think the authorities can help much..
I've heard this happen to a few people especially Singaporean that buy houses in JB.
Once in the paper a Singaporean family found out that a family of 5 is now living in their house..not sure of the course of action they take after that though..

No, never, even you report to police that your house will be empty for a few months and ask them to keep an eye on it, your house will be in trouble too.
