Could the recent poll saying 41% of Americans still believe that Saddam had evolvement with 911 be real? If so how could this be?
Within the last year the White House and Bush himself said Saddam had no involvement. The House and Senate and major press say no involvement.
I know there were initial "implications" for a while, but I thought the truth was now out.
So why still 41%? How come?

I'll bet people know that Britney shaved her head, or that Anna Nicole Smith died :)
EDIT: While I don't subscribe to the "truther" theory, just what the heck is this Time magazine guy saying at the end of this article I was JUST reading?

It's funny how people who like insulting our government have no problem when people distrust it, but when people distrust Saddam they act incredulous.
They can believe that President Bush would lie about the war (but not plant WMDs?), lie about a plane crashing into the Pentagon (but not have the experts necessary to fake such a thing convincingly?), lead us to war against a nation that did nothing to us (but tried to assassinate one of our Presidents, attacked one of our allies - Kuwait, and offered - and actually did -to pay suicide bombers to attack another of our allies - Israel, and broke the cease fire with the U.S. repeatedly while bragging to his - Saddam's - allies that he was fooling the U.N. and U.S. and really had WMDs), yet because the U.S. government won't reveal all the details (national secrets) to the public (and our enemies), is therefore a liar, an idiot, etc., adding one of a hundred names thrown at our representatives, democrat, republican or otherwise?
Yet They BELIEVE him when he says Saddam wasn't directly involved with 9/11. And they think it strange that the public doesn't all believe it. That they believe that Saddam could not be trusted NOT to have had a hand in it.
Amazing what loyalties are revealed by such things.
Is this what you side with, here in Yahoo!? Is this patriotism?
Questions, yes. Believing our self-proclaimed enemies and disbelieving our government? No.

No i do no longer believe that as I definitely have not seen any information to assist this variety of declare. in spite of the undeniable fact that, the craziest theory of all is how this grew to grow to be universal myth interior the 1st place. whilst Bush gave his speech before the conflict he in no way reported an instant hyperlink between Hussein, Al Queda and the September eleventh assaults. He reported that the regime had supported terrorists. So on an analogous time as one area is undesirable for believing this nonsense, the different area could take blame for inflicting the parable to propagate, because of the fact it became the anti-Bush crowd who saved spreading the rumor interior the 1st place in an attempt to assist their claims that the conflict became unjustified. in short, human beings in basic terms hear what they want to hearken to and the two facets are enormously the two responsible regarding this count number.

I think it boils down to people basically not liking Saddam at all and wanting to believe he's somehow involved in everything that is bad. All the same, the world is better off without him.

It probably depends on how the questions were asked. I took a statistics class in where on the first day, the professor proved (statistically) that a white male in the class was a black woman.
There are 3 types of lies...lies, damn lies, and statistics. Always remember that and take any poll with a grain of salt.

Alas! Too many people still want others to guide and direct their lives, without getting answers for themselves. So, they let the power-mongers feed them the truth - as they see fit... And, as the other poster said; we cannot rely on statistics... I continue to repeat... we can find an answer to fit our own objectives, ideologies, political views, and more... somewhere else.
We each one need to find our own truth - which usually comes from 'within' NOT without!

Because of white house propaganda, along with media one sided stories. Who constantly bombard our eyes and ears with terrorist propaganda a matrix of lies, and half truths. Also people are to lazy and trusting of the government to question anything. They are good sheep, they do what they are told.
