I swear you're watching too much TV as well. They're all actors. They get hired for visual aspect and not so much they're actual acting ability. Mind you, there's the rare case where the hot-looking actor actually knows how to act and of course moves on to bigger and better things.

I kinda wondered the same thing about Pirates after Johnny Depps beautiful portrayl of what is usually a ugly character.
My guess is that most pirates are not as gorgeous...
its probably the same for the detectives on TV.

Just TV! Lots of paper work, thinking, sitting behind a desk to fill out more forms, fighting with the bureaucracy. But they are still great jobs when things get hot and a crime is solved.

That depends. Most detectives I know are at least 35, but a few are young and hot

I've never seen the ones on TV, but the ones I've associated with in real life were pretty good looking. However, I am more attracted to a person's presence...so perhaps it was just that...

TV - i work in casting and we cast the beautiful people. I am sure there are some "hot" ones out there - but they are few and far between.

hmmm it works both ways
you would think not so that ppl dont remember them and they are anonymous in a crowd
but they also need 2 b able to persuade women who hav information etc
so i dnno mayb sum1 hot who can look anonymous and blend in the crowd
