you would take back what you say about them. they are no different than any other humans, i dont see why people think they are different.

my real question is, what is so different about gays and straight people that gay people deserve to go to hell and we do not?

Gays and straights go to hell just the same. The decision on sending a person's soul to damnation is God's not ours. We can debate the issue until we are blue in the face about his reasoning behind it. The simple fact is that God said homosexuality is a sin, as is murder, stealing, etc. What he says goes.

The thing to bear in mind is that there is a difference between a bigot and a Christian. A bigot is the one who uses slurs towards homosexuals. A Christian, however, is to hate the sin but love the sinner. Does this mean that a Christian is mandated to go out for coffee or be best friends with a gay person, no. It does, however, mean that a Christian is to acknowledge that a person is living in sin and should help that person change there ways. A mistake that many Christians make is that they believe we are to be tolerant and acceptant of sin, this is not true. We are to be intolerant and unaccepting of sin, but still love our neighbor as a brother or sister in Christ.

What makes you think christian people don't have gay friends or family members . God hates the sin not the sinner . I have quite a few gay friends and I don't preach to them I just pray for them, who am I to judge anyone . The bible teaches us only god can judge and past judgment on his people . As far as gay people deserving to go to hell I just go by what the bible says about the sins that will take you to hell . I know one thing for sure, there will be a whole lot of straight people going to hell if they are not saved and born again .

A lot of Christians are just afraid of what they don't understand. They read in scripture that it's a sin and so they automatically condemn homosexuals without really getting to know them. But ultimately even the Bible says that all have sinned, and if we looked at it that way maybe we wouldn't be so quick to judge everyone else. No one person is better than anyone else.

But not all Christians are that way. I'm a Christian, and my two best friends are gay. I also know that there are a lot of homosexual Christians out there. The ultimate thing is just don't be judgemental, and if you have an opinion, voice it, but not in a hateful way that's going to tear down others because in the end you can do more damage that way than not saying anything at all.

I know a gay person and I love him just like a straight person and so does god. Being gay is not any worse than any other sin. I can not tell you that you will go to hell for being gay that is a matter for God to decide, however the bible does say it is an abomination, but it also Say's let him who has no sin cast the first stone.

I'm a Christian and I have several friends who are gay. I love them and they love me. It is not my place to judge who goes to hell and who does not. I am not a believer in a God that punishes people for eternity simply for being human. Everyone thinks that he or she will go to Heaven and everyone who is different will go elsewhere. It seems to me that if people really believed in Hell, they would behave differently. Don't judge all Christians by the narrow-minded few.

im Christian and i've met homosexual people.i don't view them as being less than any other person.

you know what really gets on my nerves? people make comments like this one then get upset when someone replies because they didn't reply the way you wanted them to. Christians aren't bad people, those are people claiming to be Christian. You want me to accept homosexuality? fine, but that doesn't change what the Bible says. gays aren't much different, that's true. but there are SOME unnatural differences so whatever. why hate on Christians?

I like chocolate cake!

I guess Christians just feel the need to make it public that they actually go by the bible. Some do, and some don't, but thats in all religions. I don't see why everyone has to hate each other though, if you don't like it or it goes against your beliefs then ignore it - It's not your life.

different christian churches hold a wide spectrum of beliefs on this. some do not believe that there IS a difference and do not believe that there's anything wrong in being gay... others, like you say, think we're damned.

i bet that gets asterisked out.

I'm a Christian and agree that they are no different. They dont deserve to go to hell. Being gay isnt a lifestyle. Loving someone of the same sex, heck, loving someone isnt a lifestyle, so why do people treat it as if it is?
