Ill be the only smart one and say the Angels.

The Red Sox have had a better hitting team recently, but I think the Angels are better now. They currently have 6 players that start batting over .300. The Red Sox have a better power hitting team however. Pitching Staffs? Angels Weaker? Lackey, Escobar, Weaver, Santana, and Colon is stronger than Beckett, Schilling, Dice-K, Wakefield and Taverez. Lackey and Escobar are just as good as Beckett and Dice-K. Compare the rest and its obvious the Angels staff is better. Bullpen ... lets not even get into that ... no contest ... Shields and K-Rod have been the most dominant 1-2 punch out of the bullpen for the past few years and Speir was dominant before he got sick. Baserunning ... Angels have Figgins, Willits, and Matthews Jr with over 10 sbs and Cabrera with 9. Oh and all 4 of those guys have good batting averages. The Red Sox have Julio Lugo and Coco Crisp with 19 and 15 respectively. Both of these guys have hit awful all year and are batting in the bottom of the order now. Figgins has 18 sbs already and was hurt for a huge chunk of the season. They all run 1st to 3rd better and move runners along better. Id give fielding to the Red Sox though.

Last year I would have said the Red Sox, but the Angels have their stuff together now and theyre just clicking.

Oh ya and since Joe Torre has been coaching The Yanks, only one AL team has a winning record vs. them. The Red Sox? Nope, the Angels. Angels are yankee killers. They beat them in 2002 in the playoffs and again in 2005 when they met them again.

Just because the Red Sox get all the media attention and have more fans world wide, that doesnt mean theyre the better team. Please go learn some baseball and give some support to your answers next time.

Red Sox...all the way. I'm a Dodger fan so I'm not biased on the subject. They have better starting pitching and better bats 1-9. This is a no-brainer in my opinion. You put any team against the Red Sox and at the rate they are going right now I'd take them against anyone in the league...

Overall, The Red Sox are a better pitching team, with Dice-K, Schilling, Beckett, Etc. The Angels Have a great batting team, but not as good as the starting team of The Red Sox. (Which Includes Kevin Youkilis, Coco Crisp, David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Mike Lowell, and Jason Varitek)
