I think if any of us ordinary people tried to sue a dry cleaner company for loosing a pair of trousers we'd be laughed out of court . The presiding Judge may suggest the dry cleaner pay for a new pair of pants, but I'm sure that's as far as a law suit like this would go.
This judge needs to get a reality check on life & maybe some physicatritic help for himself, as if this is how he deals with the loss of a pair of pants I doubt he's capable of dealing with more serious cases from the bench.
People's lives depends on his decisions, so I would suggest that he step down from his post for a complete doctor's evaulation as soon as possible.

The worst part about this is that a JUDGE is bring a retarded lawsuit. The court system did not throw it out. It goes in front of another judge. Who hasn't given the Cleaners their legal fees back. The cleaners get a $1000. What about all the anxiety of losing all their livelihood. How many cases has this Judge rules on? This Judge should get together with Marion Berry (Mayor of DC who smoked Crack). I feel bad for the people who supported these two losers.

I think Judge Pearson should:
1. Be forced to repay the owners of the dry cleaners for all the time and money they spent defending this frivolous and ridiculous lawsuit;
2. Be removed from the bench, seeing as how he is very obviously unable to be fair, impartial and balanced;
3. Be committed to a mental institution for observation, and treated for what is obviously a serious mental impairment;
4. Have his salary, 'perks', pension, benefits, property, savings, stocks and bonds, and all personal assets taken away from him just as he tried to bankrupt the poor people who owned the dry cleaners;
5. Be required to make a public apology to the owners of the dry cleaners and to the court;
6. Pay a $54 million fine and spend 60 days in jail for wasting the court's time;
7. Be sentenced to serve his community (perhaps joining a Kiwanis club or working at a soup kitchen) where he can learn all about how poor people live and see for himself what a greedy, good-for-nothing bastard he really is.

So the real question is. Do you really think that the cleaners misplaced the judge's pants? In my opinion, heck no. A greedy bastard like that probably set this whole thing up JUST to sue the poor people.

He should be made to pay for any and all court costs incurred by the defendant and the legal system in prosecuting this case and wasting time. He should also be made to step down, get a psych evaluation and pay the dry cleaners for slander and lost business.

That's why businesses in the US dint want lawyers as costumers. In DC they brought in law to stop "discriminating" against lawyers.
