the only way i have found to abolish regret is to learn from the situation that caused the regret in the first place and do it differently next time and move on into a positive head space

By acceptance that you can not change the past and realize that you must learn from it and if it brought pain to another or even to
yourself that you must learn to make amends by honest expressions of Change for the opposite behavior of whatever you might have reasons to regret. Its what we do here and now that will help us to let go of the past mistakes and allow us to change their outcomes the next time. Bottom line, is genuine forgiveness's for either ourselves or others. Regret can turn into resentments and this is simply anger turned inward. This can not be healthy for anyone that is wanting to abolish regret.

This is a good question. I don't know that you can. You can learn from the choices you've made and not make the same mistakes again, but I think it's part of the human condition to live with a certain amount of regret. I think it becomes more tolerable over time.

Regretting something depends on each individual. You can choose to regret something, instead of thinking it as a regret think of it as a lesson. Because you did something (like a mistake) in an action to regret it. Look at the positives in your mistakes look at what you learn from it. Every mistakes we learn something we might not always see what we learned right away. Look for the positive in every wrong you do there is surely one.

One way to abolish regret is to accept the fact that in this life we don't have a time machine; so we can't easily go back to the moment you wish to erase. We just need to realize that past is past, we can't cry over spilled milk anymore. We just have to learn from it.

Accept it ...
There's an old saying ...
Change what you can't accept.
Accept what you cannot change.
You need to realize that you regret whatever it is that you regret and that spending anymore time regretting it is something you'll regret...
Yea, it sounds silly reading it, but it gets the point across and it's a pretty solid answer for such a vague question...

If you never do anything wrong you will have no regret. On second thought you would probably regret living a dull life if you did that. I don't know you have me stumped.

u cant change the past but you can build a new future. youve already spent enough of your precious time doing whatever you regretted, why waste more time thinking about regretting it.

Doing wrong:
1.)if you did a wrong- right it as much as possible.
2.) If you cannot resolve it, ensure it can never happen again

Unwalked path:
1.) know that no lesson is worthless.
2.)No path is worthless when every moment you can take the fork in the road, and you have the capacity to look back and see your foot steps..........
