It isn't unpatriotic. It is foolish to expect that the government should reveal national secrets to every conspiracy theorist who comes along. Those who call the government liars and traitors because they won't reveal national secrets ARE unpatriotic.
Keep asking questions, but drop the innuendo and insults.
We might even listen. I've seen every video I've been directed to. I've also seen the government reports (what they've released) and know a bit about how this process works, having had two parents in government.
They spent very little time worrying about government conspiracies. Too often they were trying to do the right thing and being undermined by people who didn't know the difference between patriotic questions and protest, vs. sedition and name-calling.
A movie doesn't prove anything. If you have enough, take them to court. There is a reason the families of those who died AREN'T taking them to court. Despite the slanted, exaggerated nonsense (and you know there is plenty, regardless of the truth of what you believe) that conspiracy theorists put out, there isn't anywhere near enough proof for any of the claims of the people asking legitimate questions to prove anything. And treating our government as "Guilty until proved innocent", well,...
...that is unpatriotic, period.
Ask questions. Treat them as innocent until proved guilty. Then you'll have respect.
Until then, contempt, because we're Americans, and prize that one simple thing: "Innocent until proved guilty".
Says a lot about you if that's too hard.

I said it in the governent section and I will say it here. You are an idiot. Are you questioning every single thing you read, see, or hear about 9/11 or are you asking us to watch a lib documentary without verifying its content? You are contradicting yourself here!! A good conspiracy theorist questions everything.

No. The know we are smart people. That is why they got rid of the writ of habeus corpus. That is why the media is so conservative. That is why Bush and Cheney have secret meetings, claiming "Executive Priviledge." They try to cut off our knowledge, but they realize it's not working. Bush is at a 26% rating.
I agree, it is not unpatriotic to question the government. Nor is it unpatriotic to disagree with the president.
What is "Loose Change?" A movie? A documentary? Can I rent it, or watch it online?
mckenziecalhoun, I do not think that was what Dash was getting at. Nowhere did she call the government liars and traitors, and questioning is certainly legal. However, slander is illegal (one can get fined for slandering in the newspaper, etc.), so I'm surprised no one has complained about it. And "innocent until proven guilty" isn't just patriotic, it's also constitutional (or at least, that is the way it is interpreted). And I completely agree. As for the "national secrets," well, I want to know what is going on in this country. Is that a crime? Then make a law out of it. I don't think there was a conspiracy, but I am not happy when Cheney refuses to show any of his filings to the government, calling for "executive priviledge." That makes me think he is up to something, and I can't help being slightly suspicious and paranoid.
Is it foolish to want to know what is going on in the country? I think it is foolish to want to remain in ignorance if it decides the fate of the nation.
I have not seen this movie, nor do I know anything about it, so I have no idea if it's a "conspiracy theorist" movie or not.
