Take a walk on the beach at sunset....try Torrey Pines State Park (it's really beautiful!). Visit Balboa park and go to museums etc. You could bring food and have a picnic while you are there. Catch a matinee of a movie you both would like to see (preferably a romantic one!). Take a walk in Old Town and purchase an ice cream...hold hands. Sea Port village is beautiful as well (just keep the purchases to a minimum).

Drive to the top of Mt. Soledad in La Jolla or Mt. Helex in La Mesa for a romantic view of the city.
Have a bonfire on the beach. Bring marshmallows to roast.
Go hiking at Torrey Pines.
Ride bikes along the coast.

- grab a sunset drink at the Plaza in Del Mar
- checkout an exhibit at Balboa Park
- take a picnic to the bluffs above Del Mar beach
- SD Zoo at night is not too bad

see this site - there are a ton of places to eat and they always list them on the right hand side with different attractions.
