Hertzsprung-Russell diagram
(see link)

When looking at the diagram the stars at the top are hotter
than the sun.
Find the 'G' at the top, our sun is a G3 star (directly below the G at the top).
On the left '1' is our star the sun. Our sun is directly to the right of the 1.
Our sun is where those two lines cross (very close to the center of the chart.
Every star higher than and left of our is hotter than our sun.
Blue giants are biggest and hottest.

There is a temperature scale going across the top (k).

This chart is the bible for astrophysicists (star scientists).

Kind of, it's not a place though. A supernova (it's a super ionized form of matter) is hotter! It emits the amount of energy that the sun would emit over 10 billion years.

All of the blue stars are hotter. Redder stars are cooler while bluer stars are hotter. Our star is a medium temperature star. Probably why there is life here.
