First things first both the Lions and Cardinals need to get the heck out of the NFL, until they can prove that there good enough to make the playoffs. The Texans will have there day but come on both the Lions and the Cardinals have been so bad for so long. It's time for both of them to go and also they dont even have any fans. I dont think I ever met anyone that has liked the Cardinals (sorry to criticize but being honest) and the Lions hate their general manager aka Matt Millen and always boo there team everytime they go out and play. Sorry to say and let's just face it these two teams need to go! Anyone else agree's?

Plus 30 is how it use to be. By the way no one wants to have a crappy team and watch them every week.

Better kick out

The Raiders
The Browns
too!

Just kidding

You know those guys will turn things around.

The Lions need to hire a real GM. Matt Millen is a disaster!

The Bidwells have got a long history of being cheap and have the smallest scouting staff in the league. It is easy to question their commitment to win from their past actions. I believe they are serious now. The Lions are a head scratcher?

I do believe though that they will actually win 6 games. Yeah hard to believe? It will happen. Too much talent this year.

The problem is you will never see a team fold unless there is another major depression in this country.

You probably do not want to hear this, but the league is only going to grow. They will add to LA and now they are eyeing International markets.

The Lions seem like they have never been the same since the blew up the team back in 99. I think it was Gary Moller? That took the team 9-7. Matt Millen comes in and blows it all up and they have sucked ever since. How that guy can walk the streets or hold his head up is beyond me? He should resign if he had any self respect at this point.

Ok, the Lions have been around since 1929, and you would just as well suggest that we get rid of the Boston Red Sox. It's not going to happen. The Cardinals have been bad, yes, but, as wikipedia points out, "The Cardinals are the oldest existing football club in the United States, beginning as an amateur athletic club team in Chicago named the Morgan Athletic Club, which was founded by Chicago painter/builder Chris O'Brien in 1898. Early in the 20th century (by 1913), the team turned professional."

I don't know why you think the Texans will "have their day" since they are currently the worst team in the NFL, win/loss wise (18-46 for the franchise history). Granted, they have only been around for five seasons now. Give them a chance.

I think we need MORE teams, not less. Nothing in the world is better simply because "it used to be that way." No one wants to have a crappy team and watch them every week? What about the "Raider Nation"?

First of all, blame Art Modell for the fact that the NFL is now at 32. If he doesn't pull his little stunt and piss off everyone in northeast Ohio, the league would have stayed at 30. As a result, we had a de facto expansion team in the Ravens (one year after the league went to 30 with Carolina and Jacksonville) and, three years later, the return of a suspended Browns team, which left us with 31. The NFL went to 32 with Houston to even things out.

I'm against contracting the NFL, especially if two historical franchises - one of which, the Cardinals, has been around since the league started - are involved. True, Detroit needs to fire Matt Millen, who clearly has no idea how to run a team. As for Arizona, Bill Bidwell REALLY doesn't know what he's doing (speaking of pissing off an entire city, ask folks in St. Louis about him), but that franchise is wising up for two reasons: (a) the division they now belong to, and (b) Bidwell is gradually giving up control of the team.

You cant be more wrong! Arizona just built a new stadium and he have a lot of talent around them. They just drafted a new QB and u cant expect him to be great right off the bat. Yes almost everyone in Detroit hates Matt Millen (i live in deroit, trust me i know). Yes they have made the playoff once in the past few year and have a terrible 10 year record, but on the other hand we are just waiting for that one year for them to bring home the bacon. Basiclly you cant just kick 2 teams out cuz that havnt done good. It would have to be a money issue with the city.

32 is perfect because it allows for equal divisions. It is that simple 8-4 team conferences. It makes the playoffs way easier to figure out. It doesn't matter if NFL franchises struggle. It isn't like the rest of the league has a vendetta against them. If they have a poor GM then the team needs to handle it. Maybe you haven't met Cardinals fans because you are outside of their market area. There are lots of teams that don't have fans outside of the regions.

No, don't be silly. You can talk about the past as much as you like, but in the NFL, money talks.

Teams can only suck for so long. Give Detroit and Arizona a chance, they're both rebuilding, the Cards more so.

Well i would rather watch my crappy team every week than have no team to watch. The detroit Lions are bad, but they used to be the cream of the crop of the NFL...And the Cards have extremely good offensive talent, the just don't utilize it well.

32 is perfect the way it is..scheduling works out easily
and anyway, this isn't English Premier League Soccer...get them out of the NFL until they're (not there...sheesh) good enough to make the playoffs? That argument has so many holes in it it's ridiculous

I think the Bears and the Cowboys should be cut because they both suck.
