Well 1st, your neck spasm was due to your panic, and state of shock. And because you believed it was real. Your body (nervous system) reacted to your mind's reaction/perception.
2, you love, care for and protect your family.
3, you're self-sacrificial. Willing to lay down your own life for those you love (and/or others).
4, the wolves represent one or more fears that you have'nt overcome. That you hold onto or allow in some way to hinder you, discourage you... paralize you. Often fear is a delusion. ("The only thing to fear is fear itself", MLK Jr). Reaction to a false perception. But is always subject to faith, when one has faith. And whatever you fear, you give power to. Maybe just to the fear itself. Fear is a reverance of threat, power and/or greatness.
Most often due to or related to some insecurity we still have.
And in your case, I feel maybe your fear is just due to the reality of modern day society. Do you watch the news a lot? Worry bout the "what if's? What if carjacked. What if abducted and raped. What if some violence were to occur/erupt at school. Etc. Fear of the result of moral breakdown of society. Morally and politically corrupt. No where is safe?
5, the wolf bit you because you allowed it to. Cuz you feared it a LOT! (Fear gives permission?). Or, has something/someone threatened or harmed you or your family? Trajedy?
Anyway that is my guess. And I think it may be related to someone/something round the time or before you attended your old school. A fear from something said or done that you never overcame yet.
My remedy? Identify what it is you rfear, why, And face the fear itself within you, take courage, stand up to it, overcome it. Depending how much you fear it, determines how much power you give it over you.
Face it in your self, yet I've heard that you can do whatever you want in your dreams, if you train yourself to become conscious while you are dreaming, that you are dreaming. To be dreaming, and then recall "Hey! I'm just dreaming. I can do whatever I desire, and even overpower my foes. Idk. (-?-). Fear or faith? I'll pray for your victory. God bless.

Your dream is simple, but is it true... For you are sensing the need to protect your family ... And you are willing to die in their place... So who died and why does that make you so willing to make such a great sacrifice.. It could not be longer then 6 months ago when that someone close to you passed on... I also don't see any real money problems.... Also your psychic ability is not strong enough yet to give you the prior warning of what you are anticipating, just know that you can withstand the forces that are lining up against you and never let any force make you feel alone ever again....................................................

Don't take it too seriously. I had an ex girlfriend once who dreamed she was walking through the desert wearing a talking turban. Turns out her cat had fallen asleep on her head and it was purring and making her head hot.
Sometimes we have a condition that affects our bodies (a spasm, sleeping funny, cutting off circulation and getting "pins and needles") and this translates into a bad dream as your body tries to process the information. No biggie.

I was told once that the important thing is not so much what happened in the dream but how it made you feel.
How did this dream make you feel? Go back to it and re-live your feelings. Were you scared, felt helpless, felt strong, felt alone, etc. The feelings are what are linked to reality. At least, that's what I was told.
PS> I love the story that guy told about his girlfriend's dream, the cat sleeping on her head. Very, very cute.

You are protecting your family. You feel like you are overwhelmed. You are trying and feel like you are being taken down. The wolves are life. You're a good family woman. Taking care of the family and taking it in the... neck for the family.

Wolf
This animal is a symbol of hard times or financial embarrassment, so pull in your belt. But if you managed to kill it or drive it away in your dream, it predicts success in spite of all obstacles.

You probably have a "real life" problem relating to it, not exactly like it, but connecting, hard to explain,
