I just came up with something unique as in nobody else thought of mentioning it, why don't you lay down old newspaper on your bed then eat/use the sauce?

use a large towel or old ratty sheets you dont mind ruining because that stuff doesnt wash out, even with spray n wash

it wouldnt get on your bed sheets if you did it on the couch!! Oh, but then you'd have to ask this question again, but how to keep it off your couch!! Sorry I'm not much help!!
