I'm going to Boston and planning on going to see the Red Sox. I know they can be pretty pricey but are they worth the big price tag??

Yes!!! Fenway Park is wicked nice and the Green Monster is awesome. I would pay alot to see them. The only problem is tickets. Most games are sold out and it's very difficult to get tickets at a moment's notice. Most people would get tickets from scalpers near the park, but they usually overcharge you WAY more than you should pay, and they may not be real tickets. I would check the Red Sox website at redsox.com because sometimes they have some tickets, or there may be links to other sites that are selling tickets. Good luck!!! Go Red Sox!!!

If you're a baseball fan, it is 100% worth it. You'll be seeing the best team in the league in the oldest major league park in the United States! For $12 before the game you can go on a guided tour of Fenway park too. They take you through the press box, on the Green Monster, all over the park, sometimes on the field! The Sox are well worth the price tag.

Depends if you can afford it. . .Keep in mind, the box office releases tickets for the game the same day, generally 2 hours prior to start time. Standard prices aren't too bad (grab a bleacher seat if you can, for $23) so it might be worth waiting in a long line to save some cash. But really, if you aren't from around here and this is your one shot to see the Red Sox, and Fenway Park (part of history) I would say go for it. If you can afford to, just get in. Enjoy the stadium, and watch some baseball. You'll have a great time, really.. . And even if you can't afford to get in, just go to a bar around Fenway and watch from there. That's always a good time too!

If you actually like baseball, it's almost better to go watch them from a bar just outside the stadium. I felt like most people didn't know what they were watching and weren't sure when to cheer, when not to cheer, or what was occuring on the field. People stood in the aisles, like you would at bars, and obstructed views. People were so busy taking pictures, moving around, and NOT watching, I had a bad time.

This has occured a few times the past two years. Several years ago, before the Sox won, it wasn't a problem. Now it's turned into an 'event' where people go to see and be seen. It's not about baseball anymore. I had a friend go see a game. I asked her who played, she said, "Duh, the SOX!" I wanted to know WHO they played. She had no idea. She went with six friends to go hang out. She was pretty sure that "we won." I wondered where she was on the field, winning that game.

This turned into a rant. I'm sorry. But I don't plan on paying that much to go to games. I'm going to let the team start sliding and become a little less popular before I go back to see them play live.

Yes.

There is nothing like physically being inside Fenway Stadium. Whoever said to go to a bar has obviously not been to Fenway Park for a Red Sox game.

Its worth it. Just make sure you really study the seats of where you are sitting to make sure you are getting a good deal. For example, you shouldnt pay $600 for SRO (standing room only), and you shouldnt pay $500 for awful bleacher seats. There are people out there are who are just plain shady.

Be careful and have fun.

go sox!

While those are really good seats to a really good game, if you really need the money, you should take it. You can get a lot of money for those tickets so you probably shouldn't pass that up. There are plenty of more opportunities to see the Yankees and Red Sox play each other.

depends
if your not into the red sox, you shouldnt pay to much, but even if your tickets are pretty expensive, the experience is amazing. people everywhere act just like you see in movies. there are actual people screaming ou tfor hot dogs and its an eciting atmosphere.
if your a true red sox fan that into watching baseball, im sure its just that much better.

If there weren't people lining up to buy them then their price would be set lower.

If you are just going by yourself then one overpriced ticket is worth it just for the one-time-experience. If you are going to pay for seats for a family of five, park your car at a $90 parking lot, and then fill up on really-pricey food and drink, then it is not such a great idea.

Absolutely they are. I love the Red Sox! We went to Fenway last year and it was awesome. We also try and make the games that are near home here too.

If you can afford them, then I'd say yes. Aside from seeing some great baseball, you'd be in one of the few remaining original ball parks. There's definitely a lot of excitement at the games. Have fun!
