My favorite one is the 1993 Finals against Barkley and the Phoenix Suns. Well, I don't really have a favorite moment because I enjoyed the entire series. I guess my favorite moment was every time MJ touched the ball because he did average an AMAZING 41 POINTS PER GAME, including 55 in game 4 to put the Bulls up 3-1. That's still the highest scoring average in the Finals to this day. So forgive me for not picking a special moment but when you average 41 a game on the BIGGEST STAGE OF ALL, that's enough for me!!!

MJ's highly illegal inbounds passes underneath his offensive basket where MJ would throw the ball in off of the opponent with MJ still out of bounds. Then, MJ would jump inbounds and grab the ball for an easy layup.

Great work NBA refs.

That play looks good live and in person, on replays, and on highlight reels; however, it was a totally illegal play which the NBA refs let MJ get away with.

The rule is that a NBA player standing out of bounds cannot touch the ball until he comes back in bounds and someone on either team has "possession" of the basketball.

In MJ's case standing out of bounds underneath his own offensive basket, no one ever had possession of the ball after MJ re-established himself on the court being inbounds.
Therefore, the proper call in those situations, should have been a turnover against MJ for touching the ball illegally having never established himself legally inbounds to touch the ball as no one ever had possession of the ball once MJ stepped inbounds.

I think I saw Pippen do this at least once too with the NBA refs letting "showtime" go on rather than officiating by the book.

All the great Michael Jordan moments will probably be mentioned by everyone so I'm going to pick 3 that I've seen personally on television.

1) MJ closing his eyes and swishing a 2nd free throw attempt. Don't remember which game it was though.

2) This one is the most famous where he drove in the lane and elevated against the Laker's Sam Perkins with his right hand for a dunk and then he switched to this left hand for a left sided layout. Definitely a beauty to watch.

3) This moment happened in an All-Star game during one of Jordan's years. The West team was trying to set up their offense while they were trying to pass the ball, MJ made a steal and he ran down the court. One of the West guards managed to catch up with him down the court and got in front him. Michael ran down the court from the right side and drove left to the rim with a defender in front of him. Instead of risk getting his shot blocked while going for a layout on the right side of the rim, MJ drove straight to the rim and made a 180 degree counter clockwise spin in the air and threw up a granny shot with his back faced to the basket. Jordan just threw it up over his head and it went down with a swish. There was nothing that the West team's defender could have done.

Yeah me too, the game-winner in the '98 finals. Though MJ would return for 2 seasons with the Wizards, that jumper at Utah would come down in history as Jordan's final shot.

I thought when I saw your question, you were refering to the 'other MJ'.

Anyways, the most favorite MJ moment for me was when he did he last buzzer beater shootout against Utah Jazz's Bryon Russell back in the '98 NBA finals.

No doubt, this was his defining moment as one of the legends in Basketball History.

Wow lol this is tuffy...I mean we talking his AIRNESS here , i have to go with the one where he whispered to Kerr , told him to be ready and the fact that it was televised , to me that was genius move there , talking bout meant to be.
My second favor definitely has to be the one where he sucked the living out of the whole state of Utah. From knocking the ball out of Malone's hand and ripping Russel in a million pieces. Unforgettable , that's when NBA was fun to watch thanx Michael Jeffrey Jordan. lol i can go on and on...Interesting question though.

MY fav was in 91 finals when he throught the ball from one hand to the other in mid-air. It is a classic. Will go down as one of the greatest moves of all time.

The move he had on the Nets was incredible, never seen anything like it. A guy from the Nets bench almost jumps in the air but holds himself back.
