Excluding medical jobs, the hottest careers in biology might be jobs related to genetic engineering and biochemistry. There is a shortage of scientists in these types of jobs, and they are among the highest paying science positions.

I would have to say a general BS in biology...or ecology those are the most graduated degrees in biology...but i cant think of just one w/ a specialized biology degree

Depends on if you want money or fun.
Money: surgeon, doctor
Fun: marine biologist
Although, it's harder to get into veterinary school than into med school. . .so maybe that makes it the most sought after job!
